polskaGOLA
Maradona called up 103 players to the national team, and now he has the headache of choosing a squad to take to South Africa out of those 103 players! Welshace
suprised Tobio isnt mentioned... out of all of the players Diego gave a chance to .. i thought Tobio and Otamendi were two of the best
polskaGOLA
Otamendi is on the list. I am surprised that he didn't call up Biglia. I think he is seriously underrated. edit: Speaking of which, in FM Biglia is superb! Stats in all the right places, and very high potential.

Snoop Robbie Rob
103 players yet no Walter Samuel. It's fair to say that Diego is an imbecile.
mista T
He was called up, it says in the OP that he was? Anyway, I thought 23 players were allowed in the squad, and if so wouldn't it be a maximum of 3 keepers? My 23 would be: GK: Abbondanzieri, Ustari, Campestrini FB: Ansaldi, Heinze, Insua, Rodriguez CB: Demichelis, Samuel, Milito, Garay Wing: Messi, Di Maria, Rodriguez, Gonzalez CM: Gago, Mascherano, Cambiasso, Veron ST: Higuain, Aguero, Tevez, Lopez Obviously a huge dilemma on which strikers to take, with such a massive pool of talent, but Higuain is probably Real's best striker at the moment, Aguero is impossible not to take, Tevez has had an excellent season and Lisandro Lopez is brilliant. It would probably be between Lopez and Milito for me.

I thought he was in the list.Played in world cup qualifiers, maybe Maradona didnt call him up for friendlies Btw Maradona got balls,no one could have done something like that, the guy appreciates the talent, maybe Argentina wont win a damn thing but all those players in this list will be transfered to better clubs. polskaGOLA
Diego hates Milito though, so I think we can rule him out.

ArsenalFan7
One of the worst managers ever. Sack that useless ****
Piddy
To be fair to Maradona, most of those domestic based players were chosen in particular domestic based squads he chose, so it's fair to say you could cut that list in half
polskaGOLA
Franco Jara is no longer the bargain he was in 10.2, he is now set to join Benfica at the end of the season.
Kryston
In my Barca save, I actually took the Argentine national team after Maradona understandably got the sack. Could be by his own analysis of the players or FM 10.2 might had inflated the attributes of certain players but I have a list of players that served me very well in claiming a World Cup (2014) and a Copa America (2016) In goalkeeping Oscar Ustari of Getafe is top draw for me followed by Sergio Romero at AZ. There was a Damien Martinez who has the highest PA but just could not increase his stats sadly even after 3-4 years. In defense I am surprised there was no call up of Fabricio Fazio from Seville. He is still very young in real life and seemingly not playing regularly in first eleven but a great defender in the game alongside Garay and Otamendi. Demechelis is still a beast at 34 but I like to groom younger players Fullbacks are quite a problem for my Argentine squad 5 years into the game. Insua and Ansaldi are good enough but no back up which usually regens could be the solution. Surprise to not see Pablo Zabaleta being called up, perhaps an inactivity at Man City might be the cause. The wealth in attack for Argentina is why I took the role. A major myth why the likes of Rodrigo Palacio, Maxi Rodriguez and Mauro Zarate had being ignored by Maradona but all 3 are great players to bring off the bench in my game. Ever Banega is rather weak in my formation while Lucho Gonzalez is top notch playing in front of Mascherano. There's a nippy winger by the name of Matias Defederico who now plays in Brazil is a great right winger together with Salvio to include in your squad. F.Totti
Good list. In my At.Madrid save I have both Salvio and Blanco. Nice to see them both on the list. They are pretty good in FM'10 also. And a bargain. I got them both in the summer of '09. First thought I only needed Salvio as a backup to Simao. But immediately after the transfer he showed some signs of not settling into a new country and club. So got Blanco also, from the same club. Luckily the transfer window was still open. After that there hasn't been any problems.
