mchbitil Posted August 24, 2015 Share Posted August 24, 2015 I just found out that those of us who have access to NBC Sports (in the US) can go to http://nbcsports.com/liveextra and watch the whole game from so called "tactical camera". It is basically equivalent to "Main Stand" camera in FM. No close ups. I'm watching Arsenal-Liverpool using this right now and it is awesome, how well you can see the tactical shape. For example in the last few minutes Arsenal was holding 4-3-3 when in defence and 4-4-2 when in attack. Liverpool is 4-5-1 switching to 4-3-2-1. Looks so much like FM match engine In the last image you can see that Liverpool (in black) attacks only using a few players, while most of their team is back in their half. What would've made it even more like it though would be if Cech came out for the ball and stop right infront of it as Joe Gomez makes an 80 yard run and beats him to it... The roles/duties/TIs/PIs etc form your attacking shape. that is sadly true for the game but so wrong for real life. that "mini game" of guessing where will be your attackers in the offensive phase is complete nonsense. too bad wibble-wobble is so exploitable. Its not wrong in the slightest, it makes perfect sense, to say its nonsense is, well complete nonsense. Anyone with a basic knowledge of tactics should be capable of estimating the attacking shape from the roles & duties you select, further to that actually watching the game in either 2D or 3D shows you quite clearly what happens.
