JordanBlackpoolFC
I have been noticing that there have been a lot of posts on laptop specs for FM recently so thought I few of you may be able to help me. Basically, Im going to be buying a new Laptop soon and Im unsure on the Specs I will need. It has to be able to run FM with many leagues loaded and the 3D match engine on the highest quality with no lag. Will also need to run other high end games with no lag, games such as Skyrim, Saints Row etc. I have a budget of around 500 pounds (preferably a bit lower), so i was wondering if any of you guys could help me shop online for the best deal as I really have no clue what I need. Also, Im not really bothered where it is from (ebay, pc world, tesco etc). Thanks

Soldatino
I hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread, my question is similar. I'm about to buy new laptop, I was wondering what are the most important specifics that I should look for in order to be able to play FM with many leagues loaded and active? Smurf
For many leagues loaded, means more data, and that means more data PROCESSING, so you need a good fast processor. For you I'd recommend the i7 processor. Something with similar specs to this http://www.dabs.ie/products/lenovo-ideapad-z570-i7-2670qm-6gb-750gb-gt-540m-1gb-dvdrw-15-6-w7hp-7RB9.html?refs=478140000&src=3 If you can get the i7 2670. Next on the line would be i7-2640M or the i7-2760QM which make the computer a bit more expensive. 6gb of RAM is Plenty - in fact 4gb would do but don't go below 4gb. Graphics card in that laptop - http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html So it's a pretty good machine for €840. Again, look for similar specs. I use Dabs as it's a fast way of selecting specific parts.
natyd
need advice on same thing was lookin at http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/lenovo-z570-15-6-laptop-gun-metal-11884754-pdt.html but do you guys think that machine will be good enough to run multiple leagues with a large database
ri916
i got the laptop mentioned earlier the hp pavillion dv6, except for £550. i5 processor and 6gb ram. The system 3d rating for fm is 1.5 stars and the computer performance rating is 5 stars on fm. it has been perfect for me. for your requirements you wont be able to get that kind of laptop for £500 pounds but this is the best option if you will push your budget. Snelz
for everyone who asked you wont get a better deal than the dell outlet! my prices were for the 17 inch not 15 inch to.. xps 1502, which is a 15 inch will be cheaper. when i say refurbished as long as you get the right cpu which is most of them ...they were only released in 3rd quarter of 2011 so at most there 4 months old. if need abit of assitance then pm me your email will gladly help
