FM09 a mess

Right, i have had Fm 09 since release day and i have tried everything to get it working and all as failed

I have tried

Updating my Driver (Nvidia Geforece 6150se)

Updating Direct X

Also delete old files and i have upped Vitural Memory all to no avail

Use Windowed mode

When i play the game the first match is fine (2d mode) i have no problems when i try and when i try to play my second match it freezes even when it not in 2d mode and i have to restart the computer.

With a one year old computer i should have no problems running this so why have i?

If you've done everything in there then I would post on the bugs forum with a couple of screenshots and a dxdiag print out.

As already mentioned you really need 1GB RAM MINIMUM to run Vista, 2GB is what I would recommend.

You can pick iup 2GB of RAM for less than the price of a game these days.

Right, i have had Fm 09 since release day and i have tried everything to get it working and all as failed

Updating my Driver (Nvidia Geforece 6150se)

Updating Direct X

Also delete old files and i have upped Vitural Memory all to no avail

When i play the game the first match is fine (2d mode) i have no problems when i try and when i try to play my second match it freezes even when it not in 2d mode and i have to restart the computer.

With a one year old computer i should have no problems running this so why have i?

djwilko6, I don't barge, but Windows Vista doesn't run under 1GB of ram, if It ran it would make the computer very slow and probably with issues. It is said the Vista it is not even recommended to work with only 1GB of memory.

If there are people out there with 1GB of Ran and less then 1GB of ram, my advice is either format your disk and put Windows XP or buy another set of memories to have at least 2GB of ram with any Windows Vista.

If you're not to familiar with computer hardware, www.crucial.com scans your motherboard and brings up the different RAM you can purchase from there. For a PC, a 1GB stick is normally in between 10 and 15 pounds, and it's worth it because it will make a big difference to the speed Vista runs, with your RAM being less than a GB.

On the RAM front if your system is 32bit then the most that it will be able to read is about 3.4gb of RAM

Yeah, as wgillan said, any more than 3GB and it's a waste in a 32bit system. Tbh, you'll probably be fine with 2GB of RAM, and I'd be tempted to spend a little bit more on 2GB RAM to ensure that you get memory sticks with a low latency, as these will perform faster on your system.

Your sharing memeory with your video card, look at your DXdiag, it tells you on there.

You don't need to stop it. Your graphics card needs to share memory to work properly.

yeah Vista needs min 1 GB to work 100% then you wanne play FM09 thats is even on my pc very slow with 3 GB and a Q6600 with only 5 county's and 6 leagues with small database so what dit you expect m8 ? i think that FM09 already have a memory problem thats why its so slow and i think your specs is just to slow for a correct working FM09.

I can't believe there's so much hassle to get this game to work properly!! I have an imac, not even a year old and I can't get it to work. I have managed to install it but i can't type and search for players, to select a player to see their attributes takes about 50hits on the mouse, the games freezes when i go to a match, or i can play a match but i can't move positions etc i have to get the assistant etc to pick for me!! it's impossible. I have no real idea about computers so just about everything being suggested is foreign to me.

I tried reinstalling it today and now it wont even install!!! Think it's a sign just got return it and get my money back. Huge fan of the game but VERY frustrated and disappointed.

There are ways of tweaking Vista so that it is not so resource intensive, ie like turn of AERO & by tweaking services that start up when you turn on your computer that you really do not probably need. If you google something like TWEAK/SPEED up VISTA then there are plenty of websites that will have an answer.

I agree totally i have 1 gig with vista home premium i turned off all the 'garbage' like aero and a few other things as well and i noticed a immediate difference with all the games i play, turning off things like the internet and anti virus helps a little bit as well. I also use ccleaner once a week and do a disk cleanup and defrag as well. Click control panel and appearance and customization select things like windows classic etc etc bascially lose anything fancy and it will help speed up your computer. I also deleted my trash can dont know if that made any difference though and i also selected the option to use part of my hard drive as system memory i cant remember where i did that though because im a bit of a noob with this being my first pc.
