How do i get 3D on?

i also cant get 3d to work, my system cant handle it i assume?

i got the same graphics card Intel® 82945G Express Chipset Family but with graphics card with 256 mb memory(my actual other specs are fine just my poor graphics card that is poor) and the 'minimum requirement' is "Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater" and i cant get 3d working either

512MB is minimum so 256 isnt good enough to run 3D

Yeh I know this, what I'm saying is that most Gcards have a set amount of memory.

Mine does not, it has a limit and start point, limit being 1 gig and start point being 256.

So what it does is it allocates memory depending on what the program requests.

So basically FM09 has not taken chipset memory allocation into consideration

Probably not to run the 3D. Your Vertex Shader support is software provided, which I think is why GMA 900 and 950 chips aren't working.

And ignore Stevie_G, he's talking rubbish.

if you wish to use the 3D graphics and your current card doesnt support it yes you will need a new one.

Okay mate thanks, do you have any idea what type (im not very good with these things) will be needed? And how much it will cost me? Also, where can I get one from?

Can you change the detail level in preferences? I can only change them to low which should mean i can run 3D on low settings

Maybe a bug to do with Intel chips as no reason why some of those mentioned won't run 3d on low settings

yeah in my preferences it has a combo box that i can set 3d to low as well so its likely to be a bug or something possibly should bring it up in the correct bug forum

Just thought I would post this. I am running a ATI X1050 video card and I have 256 MB of video memory. I am able to run the 3D game views. Granted it is a little jerky in some points but still I am able to run it. I cannot say anything about a laptop video card but if you run on a desktop, there is some hope that you can run it with 256 of memory. I am on a Pentium 4 2.0 system with 1 gig of ram.

So it wont only be your video memory that will effect if you can run it or not. There are options to look at if you cant run the 3D game mode

Hope you can find a way to run the 3D mode
