I just signed someone for Liverpool and he has WP next to his name, what do i need to be able to get him to play:confused:

Can't get a work permit i think. You need to send him out on loan to get him one.

I think they do. Arsenal for example have some that need one.

Do not send him to Belgium. There is a problem with Belgian feeders because it has been set that the player needs to remain in Belgium for 3 continuous years. This is impossible as the player returns to you at the end of every season so it resets the counter.

Maybe, send him there and after 2 years (i think) he will be a Belgium citizen.

No it resets when the player returns to you at the end of the season. Its set to continuous, not accumulative.

Belgian clubs no longer work correctly as the player has to be there continuously not accumulatively, and as the player returns at the end of every season it gets reset to zero days. Not sure whether this is intentional on the part of SI or whether it will be changed in a patch. Poland and Bulgaria are alternative options.

edit: Croatia also takes 2 years and will be an EU member from July 2013.

I hope that they will be fixed soon, as i'm in the third division and I hope that I can start milking the WP cow soon enough.

I have a Montenegran feeder club 'to avoid work permit regulations'. I don't know why it works, but it does.

Not every non-EU nationality requires a work permit; Norway and Switzerland for example. There are other political agreements out there.

are SI going to sort the Belgium thing out then?

If he's from South America send him to some club in Spain.

'Such and such has been refused a work permit, however by loaning him out to a feeder club in the EU for 2 years can earn such and such eligibility' or something along those lines anyway. So it can be done, just need to have a feeder club in the EU who can take him on loan.
