figoo7
Hi, apologies if this has been asked in the past, but i keep getting messages from steam when an achievement (e.g. clean sheet for 10 matches) is reached. i was wondering if this has some point (i.e. can we collectively find these achievements? do they have any other use apart from notifying us? )and if these are collected and retrieved somewhere i cannot find. thank you in advance,

philwhitters
I have been playing the game offline, but wanted to view these, so went online but steam did the mini update and all the acheivements went. So in my second season i am getting acheivements for winning a game and signing a player. I did these in my first season!!
milnerpoint
have you had steam online at all when playing? If not you would have not received the achievements in the first place.
phnompenhandy
I don't care less about these achievements, but can I ask: if I go online momentarily to update a patch, will Steam read my save and chuck a load of achievements at me, or will I never get them? And if I do, can I turn them off?
VladTepes
I'd like to know this (Phmopen's post). I only play offline, I only go online if there might be an update. I have absolutely no interest in these childish achievements but I'm being plagued by the idiot things even though playing offline. As if I wasn't sick enough of steam in the first place constantly telling me "football manager is already running" when it isn't and so on. Constant re-booting required because of this pain-in-jacksons steam rubbish. So, can you turn these "achievements" off or is another unavoidable steam imposition? You may not like them but a lot of people do. To call them childish is being childish in itself. Anything for a dig.
Scab
You will not gain achievements while playing in offline mode. They are not retroactively awarded to you if you subsequently go online, either.
Pompey1978
Achievements aren't childish - they're an integral part of console gaming, and a great way to measure your performance against that of others. If you don't like them, ignore them. It's how I deal with a lot of posts on this forum...
sean_macleod
Childish Achievements take it you dont play any other games then? Some people are just born to be miserable i swear

Guest
Might as well ask it in here - is there any way to turn off the message about Steam being in offline mode when you start it up?
