In 2021 I found this player for Mexico. Look at his Goals to Caps ratio.

I think on my FM09 save Vela had more goals than caps for Mexico...

I can't check, he's retired and no longer in the game, he ended up getting 200 caps though!! Imagine that? :O (I remember the caps cos I went and watched his 200th game and he scored twice lol!)

IRL it is Julie Fleeting for Scotland ladies. She has something like 103 goals in 101 caps and even scored a hat trick while 8 months pregnant (against England I think). She was saying this on Off The Ball about 6 months ago

Interestingly the best in my game is Senegalese the same as dafuge. With 98 goals in 85 games.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Probably true for the player in the original post in his early career. He has started to level off a bit now with 117 caps and only 101 goals. That's probably because Mexico are now a powerhouse nation (ranked 10th) and are playing tougher matches.

The best I've seen are 159 in 144 (USA) and 36 in 30 (Solomon Islands).

The best I've seen is 68 goals in 62 caps for Germany.
