drogba
The challenge is to begin your career as an Under 19 manager of your choice and steer them to victory in a major international tournament before trying to earn the job with the Under-21's and ultimately the full national team. Club teams are allowed to take on aswell but with the intention to boost your reputation to get the international mangement job. To get the under 19 job simply visit their team having selected your user and click 'Take control' Good luck if anyone decides to take up the challenge:thup:

brambleten
ok, so here is my overview. I decided on Russia U19s, as i didnt particularly want to manage one of the big nations i loaded straight away (i loaded all players and top leagues from Argentina, Brazil, England, Russia and Spain). Besides, its as close as i want to get to my save where i managed Ukraine for a while and was successful, as i dont expect much in the way of good youth to be produced over the years in non playable countries

Charlesbeams
i took over as Mexico u-20 on picking my first team, i noticed a fair few players are over 20, not sure if that applies when i play in the u-20 world cup, which Mexico are hosts along with Panama. anyway, looking at fixtures, it seems i have to play St.Lucia, Costa Rica and Cuba, twice over the next year. ill probably update after the 6 games are played. Charlesbeams
Mexico u-20 St.Lucia 0-5 Mexico Del Real (3,25,34), Guzman (17) Aldrete (89) Mexico 3-0 Costa Rica Esqueda (45+2, 54), Del Real (70) Mexico 6-0 Cuba Andrade (3,14), Arellano (10), Aldrete (19,35), Esqueda (83) so after the first 3 games, pretty easy going, majority of goals being scored in the first half Mexico 5-0 St.Lucia Rubio o.g (18), Esqueda (41,87), Orozco (pen 67), Diaz (71) Costa Rica 1-3 Mexico Mena (71) - Nava (19), Esqueda (24), Bermudez (78) Cuba 0-4 Mexico Ibanez o.g (16,27) Del Real (22), Esqueda (45) again, fairly easy. only difference really was conceding a goal :O also i made a mistake, and the u-20 world cup is hosted by Egypt, seems the qualifying for it is in panama and mexico

Charlesbeams
U-20 World Cup Qualifying so i was put into a group with Canada, Guatemala and Honduras, with 2 teams going through to the U-20 World Cup, along with 2 from another group. Also i was only able to chose players 19 and under. Honduras 1-3 Mexico Posas (82) - dos Santos (4,43) Nava (90+1) Canada 0-5 Mexico Black o.g (6), Calderon (38), Figueroa (59), Nava (63), Solis (pen 67) Mexico 3-1 Guatemala Manon (17), Fabian (28), Rodriguez (90+2) - Alvarez (68) so easily through, now im just waiting for the world cup groups to be drawn. i also have 3 games before the world cup starts, against Costa Rica, Panama and USA. Mexico 4-0 Costa Rica Fabian (4), Esqueda (18,78), Nava (82) Panama 0-4 Mexico Andrade (3,70), Diaz (28), Silva (89) USA 2-3 Mexico Payne (3), Arvizu (86) - Esqueda (24,42,55) oh i still have to play Canada just before the group stage starts for the U-20 World Cup. My group is group B along with Austria, Serbia and Spain. looks a pretty tough group. im really hoping i can play Esqueda, as he is 20, and might not be able to play
drogba
Yeah U-20's is no problem as some teams have U-20's and 23's and others so yeah should be good as also U-20's world cup I believe. Great start as Mexico btw!

Charlesbeams
i ended up playing the last game before the U-20 World Cup starts Mexico 7-0 Canada Chavez (pen 14), Andrade (21), Diaz (25), Vela (29, pen 31), dos Santos (56), Guzman (59) too easy unfortunately, alot of these players wont be available for the tournament so i dont expect ill be winning by 4 or 5 every game probably start the cup games tomorrow fortunately, Carlos Vela is able to play, despite being 20, and the rules saying 19 or under

I thought I'd get a nice easy friendly before the end of the year so the lads can end on a high, but they treated it as a holiday it seems, obviously forgot they were playing a match. We got some tough friendlies before the 2nd qualifying round in the Euro's, these friendlies against UAE, Finland and Germany will hopefully get the boys ready. pompey13
The U-19 European Championship Qualifying First Stage Drawn in a group with Serbia, Azerbijan and Albania we fancied our chances. Albania 0-1 England. Close game closer than i expected but Dan Gosling scored on 59 mins to see us home with 3 points. Azerbijan 0-4 England. Should have been more but two Rhys Murphy Pens and a brace from Welbeck saw us qualify. Serbia 3-1 England. Embarrassing just embarrassing. :o We will go through to the second stage now looking to do better than last year. U-19 Internationals: England 0-4 Germany England 4-0 Ukraine England 4-0 Kazahakstan England 3-0 Andorra England 2-2 Croatia A good year? I would say average
Charlesbeams
Mexico U-20 only had a couple of friendlies so far, 2 more this year, then next year i have world cup qualifying and probably the world cup Costa Rica 2-4 Mexico Mexico 0-2 USA (my first loss after 90 minutes ) Canada 2-4 Mexico Mexico 2-0 Panama Mexico 4-0 Honduras so overall not bad, just the one loss, and more goals conceded than usual. another problem im having is, alot of the better players are becoming ineligible now. time to bring in some regens. anyway, Argentina next, then Australia towards the end of the year. brambleten
Russia U19s 2008 review Game 1: Friendly Russia U19s 3-0 Wales U19s (Stavpets (2), Samsonov) a solid win, but i hadnt realised i had picked a lot of over age players, leaving me for the supposed next game against Germany U19s (which disappeared to somewhere) with only 15 players, but in the end that didnt matter. Game 2: Euro U19 Ch'ship Quals Austria U19s 0-2 Russia U19s (Stavpets, O.G.) A strong win to start the group stages, although i didnt go top thanks to Romania's 9-2 demolition of Andorra. Game 3: Euro U19 Ch'ship Quals Russia U19s 2-0 Romania U19s (Parshivlyuk, Stavpets) A solid win leaving us pretty much qualified for the next round, especially with Andorra up next. Game 4: Euro U19 Ch'ship Quals Andorra U19s 0-3 Russia U19s (Burlak, Gigolaev, Sapeta) A satisfying win that could have been more had Stavpets and Dzagoev been on form. next year we face in the qualifying 2nd round: Bulgaria, Luxembourg and Portugal, with top going through. i hope Portugal fluff it against one of the other teams, as its going to be close between me and them for that only spot going through

Charlesbeams
Mexico U-20 only had 2 friendlies all year, and both went pretty well i'd say. Argentina 1-1 Mexico Australia 1-4 Mexico now im waiting for World Cup qualifying, well hopefully anyway, no groups have been drawn yet. just looking back at a few players who cant play anymore, and only a few have made first team appearances ill most likely get through the group qualifying tonight.
