[FM19] realistic youth rating, transfer preferences, game importance

Recommended Posts

Reason why:

I started this project for myself because I never understood the values from the national youth rating in fm.  So I decided to do some research and set new values which are important in my opinion.

Maybe some of you have as much fun as I do with this file:)

The rating takes in account:

  • HDI (Human Development Index)
  • Population of a Country
  • How popular football is in the country
  • Worldwide success national team
  • Continental success national team
  • Success U-natioal team
  • +/- of 5 points on a individual basis

The average youth rating worldwide was 54. With my changes it increased to 65.

It gives more power to several Nations and reduces the dominace of some.

A few examples of the biggest losses:

Brazil: 163 - 121

France: 140 - 100

Germany: 155 - 98

Egypt: 138 - 82

Biggest winners:

Generally all Nations have a min. rating of 44.

China: 60 - 101

Luxemburg: 35 - 54

Gibraltar: 15 - 74

Qatar: 50 - 74

Kasachstan: 47 - 70

Uruguay: 90 - 107

I made several longterm tests to see how accurate the talent pool will be. I am really pleased with the result. Please keep in mind that not only the youth rating influences the chances of wonderkids. This file gives you in my opinion the chance to a balanced world where you can find and develop talents all over the world.

The "find" brings me to the next big overhaul:

Transfer Preferences

I think it isn't realistic to scout every corner of the world. As a european top club you won't go to Samoa to find the next Tim Cahill... But Australia or New Zealand might be interested in scouting all the small islands for talent. So when a young talent moves to Australia then he maybe get scoutet from a premier league team during their "sponsoring-trip" in Australia.

What I changed:

Every continent has its bigger football-nation. All the smaller countrys are getting scouted by them.

The biggest Nations then will getting scouted by the overall top nations.

There will always be amazing young talented footballer arround the world who will never make a big career, or a career at all. This is what I try to simulate with this whole file.

If there is a positive feedback about the idea I am willing to create a file for fm20.

I really want to improve this file so if you have critical points, questions, please share them:D

I hope everybody understood my swiss-english.

Cheers

Edit: File is called "Überarbeitetes Jugendrating"

Oh I'm sorry! I changed the name manually before I uploaded here. It's called "Überarbeitetes Jugendrating".

This sounds absolutely amazing!

Theoretically yes! It would be awesome if i could get some Feedback form as many people as possible to see if it makes the game more realistic or not:)

Nice to hear! I already improve the 19 version with even more parameters to make it even better. Of course! As soon as the full version is out!
