Asensio??

I'm in September of my first season as Liverpool, Madrid have just put Asensio up for sale. I've got a structured deal of £72m accepted and he's accepted £165k a week but I haven't confirmed it just yet. Buying him guarantees I'm selling coutinho next season, as he'll be his replacement in my 4-2-3-1.

Thoughts?

I signed him in Jan, season one for Liverpool for about £54m I think. I play a 4-2-3-1 and he plays all across the AM strata for me and has done pretty well. £72m is a little more than I paid for him but I still think he'll be a beast.

Isco usually ends up being transfer listed by Real too it seems, in my saves at least.

In my AC Milan save, he is the magician of the squad. I usually play him as an AP(s) AML in a 41221 (433).

Also sometimes play him as a AM(s) in a 4312. And occasionally a WP(s) or WP(A) in ML in a 442.

Stats (I've had him for two seasons, paid £27m, possibly £32m):

2019/20:

Serie A:

27 starts, 3 subs. 10 goals, 2 assists, 4 POM. 7.31 rating.

CL:

4 starts, 3 subs. 5 goals, 2 assists, 1 POM. 7.65 rating.

2020/21:

Serie A:

35 starts, 1 sub. 5 goals, 11 assists. 4 POM, 7.40 rating.

CL:

13 starts, 2 goals, 4 assists, 3 POM, 7.70 rating.

He's been pretty much a rollercoaster ride for me through 6 seasons at Chelsea, mostly as AP/S - AP/A central.

...until I've tried him out as a Trequartista in a 2 striker partnership. I've been very reluctant to do so since trequartistas and long shots are inseparable, and Asensio has his fair share of wasted long shots anyway, but he's like a revelation in that position
