  1. Good idea, They used to do something similar over on Sortitioutsi , time based challenges with certain teams. I've just been sacked from my English non-league save so I'm looking for something new until I settle on a long term save, this certainly appeals.
  2. Good luck, I did consider a career with Como myself after Cesc was appointed, it looks like a good club to manage. Enjoy!
  3. Nice comeback mate, looking strong going into the second half of the season.
  4. Really good, well laid out and easy to read updates mate. Well done! Doing pretty well in the league too, better than real Chelsea. Also like your use of the classic team badges. Keep up the good work.
  5. I'm doing youth academy challenge in my current save and have alot of 16/17 year olds promoted into my team already. So I'm definitely going to give this a try.
  6. Great start, hopefully your financial problems don't hamstring you.
  7. Good season, hopefully the new owners provide a bit of investment for you.
  8. Excellent work mate. I look forward to starting a game with your files if I take a break from my current save in England. I'm looking forward to Africa in particular. I remember a very enjoyable save with Tiko United in Cameroon on a previous edition of FM.
  9. Good start. I enjoy regional stories like this. I'm doing similar in my save. Looks like you could set up some success over the next few years with a promising youth intake. Keep it up 👌
  10. Shame about your Scunthorpe save, but good luck at county mate. Great old club that deserve some success.
  11. Looks like your off to a good start. I like the way you do updates about Shetland as well. Keep it going 👌
  12. Ah that's horrible when that that sort of thing happens mate. When you say this month, so you mean your game month or January IRL? if the former you should definitely carry on with the save as you are making good progress.
  13. Make sure your opposition instructions don't have a slow moving defender trying to mark tightly the pacy forwards, else you will lose goals, particularly if said pacy forward has a good first touch and technique to lose the defenders.
  14. I don't know about selecting the kit before each game, but the AI needs improving to avoid kit clashes. There's been a number of occasions on my current save where it's been difficult to tell the teams apart.
  15. Let's face it, it's quite unrealistic for anyone to start out as a first team manager at any level that's playable in the game. I would really like to be able to manage say the U18's or U23's of a club and perhaps get promoted to first team manager should I do well enough or receive offers from elsewhere to have a satisfying and realistic career trajectory. I know you can manage B teams in some countries and there are numerous domestic and continental youth competitions already included in the database,so I can't see why it would be a difficult feature to implement.
  16. Generally if your a big team, the board will insist on having youth teams. but if your playing as a non-league club for example who don't have any youth academy to speak of, you can choose not to. I think you save some money on matchday costs as well.
  17. Yeah, I have a few friendlies against clubs bigger than ourselves, a couple of Northern Irish Prem teams, which is quite a big deal to a level 10 outfit. After taking away fees we make a net of about £1k from each game which I suppose eats away at the debt a little. I've pretty much converted save into a youth academy challenge now as I can't offer what players want in appearance fees.
  18. I ignore my staff in basically everything 😅 The only thing I have them do is training for the youth teams. Everything to do with the first team I usually do myself.
  19. Hi all, I'm currently using a lower league expansion to play as a custom team I created in England's level 10 divisions. (You can read my progress so far HERE) Now this club has hemorrhaged money and at the start of season two we are almost £60k in debt despite only having non-contract players, basic staff and basic facilities. This division has an automatic 10-point deduction for clubs entering administration, I was wondering, at what point does a club enter admin? What is the financial threshold for it? And is there anything I can do to help save the club? I've asked the chairman to find a senior affiliate to gain some income and hopefully a decent loan player or two but he keeps rejecting the request as he cannot see the financial benefits!? He's also scaled back our youth recruitment and junior coaching (which were poor to begin with)
  20. Nice update style mate, looks very well laid out. I considered a career as Fabregas myself but managing Como in Serie B, who he's managing in real life. Opted for a lower league career instead though. Keep up the good work 👍
  21. Congratulations on a cracking title win. I'd expect you'll be right up their for back to back promotions next season as well.
  22. Congratulations on securing the play-off place, mighty close to winning the league outright now too. Hopefully you can get some more silverware in the FA Trophy too.
