Thanks for the test video. 200 countries?!! Wow! Is it playable or is it running by itself just for the test?
A few strange things to consider:
- Players' profile ability stars are empty (see Joao Felix image below)
- Sharp decline of Chinese league in Asia.
- Extreme dominance of Flamengo in Serie A for many years is not realistic.
- I missed your review of Argentina...Request: please post the links to your skins and packs under your YouTube video. Thank you!

Yes. Italian first league, my top penalty taker could miss 50%. Something fishy here...
PS: But after I set his individual training to penalty taking, he did improve.

Hmm, it looks like a bug. I created two new saves with new coach profiles and then quit, but, as I start a new save, Brazil still comes up as the selected nation.
1. In the first case, I selected no favourite club for my coach profile and started with Arsenal, saved the file, and quit. When I reloaded the save, but then tried to start a new save, Brazil was still my selected nation (and, more strangely, my coach profile showed Flamengo as my favourite club!)
2. In the second case, I selected Millwall as my favourite club in my coach profile, and started a save with it, saved it and quit. When I started a new save, Brazil was again the selected nation.
Again, no worries. I can live with this. :-) Just reporting in case your dev team wants to take a look.

I think I found out why I can't invite for trials. I had set my new save to prevent new transfers during the first season....

Indeed. In prior saves, my coach profile has had Flamengo as main favourite club, so it makes sense that Brazil comes up as "selected nation". However, this is a brand new save, and I have not selected a coach profile yet. So, it seems that my FM got stuck in Brazil. No biggie, but it would be nice to be able to more easily change these options.

Finally, once I click "Add/Remove Leagues" I see this screen, but I can't uncheck the tick mark on the right of Brazil:
What can I do please to change Selected Nation from Brazil to England for example? Thanks

I can't invite any players for a trial. The button is either greyed-out on the player card, or it doesn't appear upon right-clicking the player's name.
I just started a new save, coaching in England's Vanarama league.
I wonder if I need to hire some special staff, or if Vanarama doesn't allow it?
Any tips are appreciated.

Though I quit and restart a new career game, Brazil is checked as the key selected nation. It then affects recommended neighboring nations and start date.
How do I change the selected nation? And, is there a way to keep it blank? Thank you.

Hi Dave - I was rewatching your awesome video. In the setup part, I noticed that your estimated game speed was only half a star (see image below from your YouTube video). My laptop is also showing 1/2 star. Isn't that too slow? How should I read the star rating estimates? Thank you.

@Daveincid Hi! Can you please repost here your latest video on what leagues to load as playable/viewable and what database settings to pick? I'm starting a new save. I have your August file updates but can't find your recommendations on what leagues and player databases to load. Many thanks!

Thank you all for your answers. As of today (8/20/21), 47% of survey answers claim negative emotions (empty, sad, anti-climatic) against 35% of positive (very happy, happy, and satisfied) upon ending a long save - and 18% neutral.
I just finished a three-month save managing Porto, Roma and Italy (three months may not sound too long for many in this forum, but for me it's a pretty long stretch of time). By 2030, I was getting bored and decided that I'd only play one additional season if I win silver. To no avail, I ended runner-up in both Italian cup and top league, and also lost to Nigeria in the World Cup. To end this save this way is a little bit disappointing, even as I had won many trophies and awards over the decade...
Well, well,... In my next save, I plan to start at a very low league in a small club, maybe with a smaller number of playable leagues for a change.

I noticed that my goalie Donnarumma has a 7.0 rating but saved only once. How is this possible?... Communication? Command? Opera singing?...
PS: No assists either. Nothing that strikes me.

Yes, it probably makes more sense that an FM gamer would get a job as a data analyst or a data scientist, given the database-driven nature of FM. Some data analytics posts in this forum are mind blowing indeed.

However you define "fun", what is the league you recommend as the most fun, exciting, and engaging?
(Of course, you may say it depends on the club you pick to manage, but anyways... Overall, what league(s) do you suggest as great entertainment or exciting challenge?...)

Not really. I usually release all poor (youth and adult) players (less than 2 stars) as deadwood, and only hire 4-star-plus-potential youth.

A few years ago I asked this question about FM gamers getting coaching jobs in real life. I heard a couple of dubious cases related to some tiny clubs in amateur divisions...

Agree. Same problem here. It made me search for EU-citizens nearly always. I only buy a non-EU if the player is really critical to me. Otherwise, he will be EU citizen...

As others mentioned above, his stats aren't a super star's. Yet, does he speak English (if not, did you give him language classes). As importantly, it may take a season for a player to gel with the team. Also, take a look on social groups to see if he's geling or not. Good luck.
