I'd love to host a testimonial.
What are the benefits for the club and the player? Thanks.

Yes, I get many job offers from clubs two or three leagues above mine, some make sense, others feel unrealistic.

Average on Steam era where I have the data is somewhere between 2-3k hours. Lots of inflation there as I tended to hibernate my PC which still logs playing time.
Definitely played more of the older games though except for a couple of 2010s versions where I have over 3k hours.
So, sleep or hibernation modes keep FM logging hours... That's a shame as I also set my laptop on sleep mode when I'm away. So, I'd guess that my *real* hours is only a fraction of the number of hours displayed on the library screen...
It would be nice to have a count for the actual number of hours played...

I've logged 1,300 hours on FM21 thus far. On FM19, I logged 2,860 hours in the year, until FM20 was released. (I'm actually happy to see that I'm spending less hours with the game...)
How many hours do you typically log on FM? (You can check on your Steam Library). Thoughts? Insights?
*** PS: One important thing that it's unclear to me is whether FM keeps logging hours if my computer is on sleep mode. Anyone knows?

Just got into the Vanarama myself & all I can find is 18 to 20 year olds, even the oldies aren't interested. Think I'll be stuck here a good few years while I slowly build the squad & rep increases a bit
Agree Johnny. I'm not the best gamer but was able to get promoted in my second season in VNN.
I think the trick is to have a good scout system to find and hire/loan good players (87+ score) who get desperate towards the end of the hiring window. If you can get two good players like that, then your chances to climb the table go up a lot.

I'm coaching in Vanarama, and am having a hard time convincing any good players to come play for me. In fact, I have tons of cash in my payroll/transfer!
How can I attract a super player to play in a lower league club? Also, when searching players, should I use or ignore the Interest filter (see below)?
Exaggerating "a bit", what would happen to my club if Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi were playing at Alfreton VRN?...

Interesting topic. I wish negotiations were more flexible and varied, with more options and perks, such as coaching courses (and a villa in Ibiza, etc.).
As it's now, the negotiations are very short and limited.

Agree with the complaints, FMFC has been, thus far, a loyalty platform that has not delivered on its hyper and promise yet. Such marketing flops are quite common though...

Why not just let your AM run the friendlies and then you can watch everything else?
I've been playing this game for 20 years and it never dawned on me doing this. My life has more meaning now. Thank you!!

Is there not an option to do this in staff responsibilities?
Yes there is. I've already set all contract decisions under my responsibility, but it seems that it is delegated if I go on vacation?... Maybe a new feature request is in order...

Hi. I feel your pain. I used to live in Brazil and everything there is much more expensive and difficult relatively!
Maybe wait a few months for an online discount offer? These discounts can be pretty high after a few months or so.
Boa sorte! Abs!

I think it was 3 months coaching Fulham.

My club confirms the hiring of players I've offered contracts when I go out on 1 day vacations (to skip friendlies).
Is there a way to stop automatic hiring, so I can make the final decision about confirming the hire or not? Thank you.

No, they can't play. What's curious is that, in my current save (Vanarama), foreign players will refuse to join unless they get a permit.

Mostly useless. I take a look. Sometimes I adjust my defense or tackling accordingly. If they attack with three, I may reinforce defense with a more static DM. If they play fast and high, I might tackle harder. But I do not follow it closely, as it's a sure way to lose the match. So, use it just as one datapoint among many.

Good post. I also posted the same question in a different threat last week: first third of the season is great, the second third is horrible, and the final third is so so. Quite often I go through this same pattern over and over. Check:

Usually I can turn things around in 3-4 games
What are main things you do that are effective to turn things around? Thanks.

Exaggerating a bit here, but most of my seasons are something like this:
- 10 wins, followed by 10 defeats/draws, followed by 10 wins/draws. Depending on how it goes, you can add or subtract 5, meaning that I'll be promoted or mid-table. Yet, this three-phase drama happens nearly all of the time.
It does feel that, it doesn't matter what I do, results will turn out the same, which makes the game quite frustrating...
Of course, without my giving any detail, it's hard for me to ask for your suggestions, but my question is:
Do you also experience such odd and mysterious fluctuations throughout your season, which tend to repeat over and over, regardless of what you do?...

The real challenge is: is it possible to promote so fast by playing matches on KEY highlights mode only (and without any type of cheating)?... What are some pointers for success?...

I like playing in Russia. Good quality football, exotic regions (you need to fly thousands of kms for a game!), clubs with very interesting historical background, and some dodgy business going on underground... Love it.

A couple of times I noticed that unattached players may have widely different salary demands one time to the next.
In the example below, he demanded 35,000 pounds/year in my first contract offer. He accepted it, but then went elsewhere and few weeks later I noticed that he was free again. Now he only asks for 10,000 pounds per year. That's a HUGE difference (80% less). How is this possible?...
(PS: My club is currently leading the VNL table, but my initial contract offer to Raphael was just a few weeks ago...)

Doesn't it end when the team you coach is relegated to a league that is not available in the system?

Unrealistic Interview/Job Offers
in Football Manager General Discussion
Posted
I'd add that the Coaching License courses are a bit broken: it's way too easy and too fast to become a Continental Pro coach with super high ratings - in just a couple of seasons! That doesn't make sense.
There should be some barriers or conditions to keep advancing. Maybe some time limits (as experience) and better-quality clubs could be used as conditions for further license/rating improvements.
As a result, this would stop with some unrealistic interview and job offers.
