  1. 39 year old centre-back Roy Chipolina levelled the goals record for Gibraltar on Wednesday, only for Liam Walker to score a penalty and reclaim the record for himself a few minutes later. It's currently HT against Andorra ad Gibraltar are 1-0 up courtesy of Roy Chipolina once again equalling the record.
  2. Still a fairly big corruption problem in Korea tbh, the K-Pop industry has so much power and influence nowadays that its actively subsidised by the government.
  3. Dunno if it was because back then South Korea was still very recently out of a dictatorship (as in, past decade or so) and so still had a lot of corruption going on behind the scenes?
  4. FT St Lucia 1-1 San Marino Probably for the first time in their history, San Marino conceded after committing too many men forward and getting caught on the counter. San Marino levelled it right at the death and the San Marino commentators LOST THEIR ****
  5. Great result for Malta there. Belarus also unable to organise friendlies with UEFA teams? Wouldn't be a surprise. Cyprus got a 0-0 draw with Sweden too.
  6. Uzbekistan 0-3 Kazakhstan Moldova 1-2 Azerbaijan Latvia 1-1 Estonia (5-3 pens) Turkiye 2-1 Scotland Czechia 5-0 Faroe Islands Andorra 0-1 Austria Oman 0-1 Germany Poland 1-0 Chile Kosovo 2-2 Armenia
  7. Although this is mainly for the teams participating in the World Cup and their warm-up games I still think this should cover the international break in general, with the other non-qualified teams also playing friendlies at this time - most interesting being San Marino jetting off to the Caribbean for two games against St Lucia. Can think of worse ways for a bunch of amateur footballers to spend a November. Games happening tomorrow include Saudi Arabia vs Croatia in Riyadh which will likely be used by Croatia to acclimatise to the conditions they'll face in Qatar. A much easier warm-up for Germany who head to Oman to get their experience of Middle East conditions. Mexico on the other hand have opted to stop off in Girona where they'll host Sweden. From games not happening between World Cup teams, a CIS derby takes place as Uzbekistan host Kazakhstan. Austria will have a gentle kickabout with Andorra while Scotland head to Turkiye and Poland host Chile.
  8. The Canadian attack with Davies, David and Larin (who hasn't quite settled in Belgium yet but has been on fire for Canada) will be a huge threat. Eustáquio has been in great form for Porto too and Herdman has got them working as a cohesive unit which will cause problems for other teams.
  9. Lot of quality in that Canada squad. Could be a dark horse in their group. Wonder if Argentina regret not calling up Garnacho.
  10. Of course it was £1million that they burned but they initially tried to burn £20k when they took on the Turner Prize. Lycett might not be threatening as much money but the message is a bit stronger.
  11. Too many AFC teams (and even some CAF) would boycott it.
  12. Reading up on him it seems like he has a massive ego and attitude problem so I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Serie C in a few years.
  13. Is it outside the realms of possibility that either FIFA try to ban players who protest during games, or worse still Qatari police arrest players for defaming Qatar (which is an offence there)?
  14. What was your first clue? Or is it just cos it triggered the events that led to your downfall?
  15. Oh wow a user on here with even hotter takes than oche.
  16. Can we also remember to call out anyone criticising Qatar - yet moving to City, PSG or Newcastle since their takeovers by countries with equally questionable Human Rights records and taking their money - hypocrites as well
  17. Those on the left tend do and considering Nev wants to be a Labour politician that might matter.
  18. Given his ambitions to enter politics in the future, this should really be the moment where it hits home for Gary just how negatively the Qatar World Cup and anyone going to promote it are being received by the public. Voters have long memories (well, unless you're a Tory in which case 5 minutes ago is ancient history) and won't forget his taking Qatari blood money.
  19. There were also two Ayews in 2010 and one of them wasn't Jordan
