Apparently even Don't Hug Me I'm Scared saw its release delayed, even though All4 is on demand. It probably won't air on Channel 4 until October anyway.

Seen it suggested that Nintendo Direct didn't air live in the UK because the new LOZ game is called Tears of the Kingdom and it could be deemed insensitive. FFS that's really stretching it.

Stupid thing is, cracking down on the slightest sign of anti-monarchy is only going to encourage more ardent republicans to gather in protest, cos in their eyes this overkill from the police is proof of how authoritarian the UK is and getting arrested is what they want, it justifies their beliefs.

The genetic disorders thing will probably become less common now that more recent generations have married "commoners" and diversified the gene pool a little bit. Maybe the thing about the queen's cousins factored into that.

Not saying I necessarily agree or disagree with Sinclair's statement but I've seen Kevin Bridges' joke and it's not that bad really, doesn't mock the Queen in any way. But yeah the free speech brigade are desperate to shut down anything they see as dissenting views.

I've noticed the same people that cry about cancel culture every time a right wing racist/transphobe is called out, are actively trying to cancel Sinclair and Kevin Bridges, calling for them to get sacked or their shows to get cancelled by venues etc.
