  1. Can you post a gif/animation with the situaion you're describing? Is it pressing or maybe cutting the passing line (attempts)?
  2. Yes, maybe gegen is broken and it's probably the easiest way to succeed but... it's still a game and everyone can play in their own way. It depends on your expectations for the game. Let's start with the fact that players who don't work aroud the football in real life can win the champions league in three seasons with a club started in the Championship. Is this real? No. Personally, I lose motivation when I win repeatedly and the results are unreal. That's why I love counterattack styles in FM I prefer to lose/draw a few matches in a row and then win in the way I want to play with boys who suit to my tactics (E.g I love "basque style": brave and hardworking players who sacrifice for the team and build the team around them). However, losing can be frustrating and the computer games should rather allow you to relax. You can feel the same satisfaction by winning every match and signing best wonderkids from downloaded shortlists OR by making some small tactical tweaks, look for the right players for your style and make the game as difficult as possible. If you're playing a single career, play by your own rules. What will give you more satisfaction? Cheers mate!
  3. Hi, thanks for all your inputs and advise. Unfortunately, I have a very limited time to play but I menaged to test several solutions in the preseason and a few league matches. I found bdalance in the TM(a) + AM (a) + AM (s) and Target Man works great. SS (instead of AM(a) also was good but his impact for game was something different what I expected). However, things happens and my striker is injured for 5 months. I changed the formation to 2strikers: AM(s), PF(a), AF(a). I have to wait for the result. Cheers!
  4. Hi folks, [FM23] I'm trying to create something new for me - 343 formation but the final third is a hard nut to crack for me because of the players I have in my team. It's mostly bout: how to utilize Target man and AM(su) it this setup. ACM L my POV is Shadow Striker here. I have 2 very good players but they have some shortcomings that discourage me from using this role. The idea is that ACM L is the most forward one and attacks from deep on the field. So maybe Trequartista? ACM R is born to be AM(su) Another way is to play 2x ST and 1xACM AM + TM + Poacher/AF/PF (a)? Formation (it's only outline): I want to utilize my top TM who is top header and two WBs with their great crossing skills. Cheers!
  5. Look at your training schedule and plan some training units containing "Tactical familiarity: Creative freedom" (e.g. Match preparation -> Teamwork). Maybe you changed something in your tactic that automatically lowered familiarity in this aspect?
  6. Hi Johnny! How do you see the setup with the Raumdauter? I think 433dm has great potential for this role and I am curious about midfield area + opposite winger in a simple way. Cheers!
  7. Jude Bellingham - 2 games, 3 goals. Maybe he's a Shadow Striker though?
  8. I'm thinking about Real Madrid this year. They changed tactics from 433 to 41212 (diamond). Vini and Rodrygo's at the front, and Bellingham on 10 "mediapunta". I think Jude is an pure AM but I have a problem with two brazilians. Should they be positioned in the wingers' or strikers' zone? As wingers they could be IF, W (Vini) or Raumdeuter/W/IW (Rodry) but there would be no one in the middle (Jude is not SS). If in the striker zone: Rdrygo would be good as F9 or T but what role for Vini then? F9 + T setup? I don't see Vini as a pure striker. There is great quality in the midfield area and everyone could play different roles on the pitch. How do you see Real Madrid tactic for this season in FM?
  9. Hi Jonny, thank you for this topic! I'm a big fan of simple solutions, after years of making FM more complicated than necessary. Does your CM have "Hold position" set in PI's if DM is on support duty and fills the Mezalla gap?
  10. Inspiring! What about TMsu instead of AFat? This should work fine with SS and could help in the def phase
  11. Hello, First of all - why are you playing 343? The wingback position is crucial in this type of tactics (343, 352) for me. The player should be one of the best in my team. Zoungrana - do you have a good midfield alternative for him? Maybe its not worth it. Mohammed - if we look at age and potential, he has a chance to be good enough in the future - ofc with proper training. I'm a big fan of position changes (if necessary). The essence of being a good manager
  12. Howdy! I want to start a new career with one of the Spanish B clubs in 3rd division (and through the experience gained in the reserves and other clubs take the position of the head coach senior team in the future. I wonder if the coaching staff should be very good at youth development? Or should I to focus on other attributes? After all, some players will be under 18 and some over (19-21). The second thing is training. Should it be planned as for seniors or for juniors? Or maybe training as for seniors but with more rest? I want to focus on players development and providing "canteros" to senior squad but main focus in the 1st season will be promoted to second Division.
