That's strange - in my tests it all works perfectly. Does this trend start after a certain year? (Wondering if a strangely timed world cup broke it?)

What is the exact way it should work?

Be champion in season 1 → play in the Shield in season 2 → advance to the Cup in the same season (also season 2) → advance to the CCC in season 3? → advance to the FIFA CWC when it plays the next time?
At the moment the amount of teams that advance in my game is like this: only 1 from Shield to Cup and 3 from Cup to CL (nr 2 and 3 to first round; and nr 1 direct by to following round of 16)

In my previouis post I checked the last years of the competiton (2060's/2070s)
Now, I've checked the first years (2023 onwards and 2035 onwards and 2045 onwards)

The nr 1 and nr 2 of the Caribbean Shield advance to the Caribbean Cup in the same year. This happens in each of the decades that I checked
The nr 2 and 3 of the Caribbean Cup advance to the first round of the Concacaf CL 2 years later when looking at the 2020s and the first part 2030s. It changes in the 2nd half of this decade: In 2036 Waterhouse (nr 2) and Pantoja (nr 3) qualify for the 2038 CL, but in 2037 something strange happens. Tivoli (nr 2) and Defence Force (nr) don't qualify at all. Not for 2037/2038/2039. Instead the following year, which is 2038, TLH (nr 2) and W Connection (nr 3) qualify for the CL first round of 2039. Some years later the 2 year gap continues.

I checked all number ones of the Caribbean Cup between 2023 and 2073. They all advance to the round of 16 of the CL.

At the moment these are the editor files I used. These are all of your files, TMC's files, Saints Canada's Canada fix, 4 central american leagues and realism files by Daveincid, and Susie's Transferupdate

(not included in the screenshot are some files for esthetic purposes only)

Thanks everyone! Gonna have to check which one is really the northermost AND is playable in vanilla FM and/or XaW's DB

Gonna guess Tromso but could be wrong

I think Tromso and Bodo are only the northermost first level clubs.

Honestly not sure, but I imagine one in Finnmark. I'll have a look and update here.

I think it might be Honningsvåg, located here:

Thank you! I asked Bard (AI like ChatGPT) too and it sais that Nordkapp FK on Magerøya is the northermost club in the world if you count Islands that belong to the continent. And Alta IF if you only count mainland teams. I found that Alta IF is in the vanilla DB, but couldn't find Nordkapp FK. But getting an AI to really understand my question and crossreference that with the FM DB is a bit tricky.

Honningsvag is the northernmost and Kirkenes is the easternmost. :)

My grandparernts travelled to both the Nordkapp and Kirkenes 😊

I was thinking about a new long journey save starting at the northernmost point of Europe (or as close I can get with a football club in that region) and travel to the southernmost point (Tarifa) in Spain.

Found Alta IF too. I asked AI and it said that Alta is the northermost football club on mainland Europe.

  3. @V50 I did a longterm holiday save until 20 june 2073. Combination with all of your files and TMC and Saints Canada files seems very stable.

About the Concacaf continental club cups qualifications:

Best 2 in the Caribbean Shield qualify for the Caribbean Cup in the same year
Winner Caribbean Cup qualifies for round of 16 in CCC the next year
Problem: Nr 2 and nr 3 of Caribbean Cup qualify for 1st round in CCC after 2 years

  4. @forzaformia This pack is compatible only with my Italian League System file, that you can find above, under "UEFA" section. This means that if you want to use the pack, as Italian leagues you can use only my Italian league s

Thank you very much for this pack!

Does this mean, it can be compatible with other leagues from other nations made by other creators, but for Italy only your league?

    Would you consider making:

    Arab Club Champions Cup
    Gulf Club Council Champions League
    UNAF NESMA Cup
    Kagame Interclub Cup (CECAFA Cup)
West African Club Championship (UFOA Cup)
America level 2 (USL Championship), 3 (MLS Next Pro, NISA and USL1)
Canada level 3 (League 1 Ontario, League 1 Alberta, League 1 Quebec, League 1 British Columbia) (apparently there exists no 2nd level)
Netherlands level 3 (Tweede Divisie), 4 (Derde Divisie A, Derde Divisie B) and 5 (Vierde Divisie A, Vierde Divisie B, Vierde Divisie C and Vierde Divisie D)
Honduras level 2 (Liga Nacional de Ascenso)

Will the Concacaf Caribbean Shield have the right qualifiers for the Concacaf Caribbean Cup? And will the Concacaf Caribbean Cup have the right qualifiers for the Concacaf Champions League?

Based on City, so I tend to use HEARTBREAKER on attacking

Can also sort to Arsenal or other tests

I plan to start my first savegame on FM24 with PSV in The Netherlands, so it should work in the Eredivisie at least. I will take some years to build up my youth.
In previous FMs I used your tactics in all 3 slots. All the same tactic, just other mentality.

  6. @knap I just bought FM24. When assessing which tactic I want to use, with the help of your excel sheet, do I need to chose the tactic that has the highest average numbers when looking at score percentages and hubtest numbers, and evens and TT ?

In former FMs I always combined GD plus POINTS + score percentage to see which tactic I wanted to use

  7. So yesterday I bought FM24 and just like last year I want to try something where I haven't really played before. Like Honduras, or Dominican Republic for example. (Already dit Montreal and Alajuelense in this region) I just really love the obscure leagues. I managed in the Solomon Islands, Phillipines, Afghanistan and Nigeria the last few years and had a blast. 😄

I would like to add your Caribbean Megapack, SaintCanada's [FM 24] Canada League 1 and Cup Comps and TMC's [FM24] USA to D4 (USL2) + Canadian Championship fix, Is there anything that I should anticpate using these files, or this exact combination, or will this work just fine together?

Exactly. My decade old rig can't run the English files, be it the Level 20 one by Dan or just the 10 levels by Leo. There are hundreds of divisions I'll never go near bloating the save. For me, going deep but narrow is the way my computer can handle lower league long-term careers.

Exactly! So I always look for a db that has just that.

Around the turn of the millennium, with rugby having recently gone professional, the Welsh, Scottish and Irish rugby unions realised they couldn’t compete with the money in the English and French rugby leagues. The three nations banded together to create a united Celtic League with professional rugby clubs from the three countries all playing each other in an attempt to compete against the French and English financial powerhouses.

Now, in 2023, in the shadow of the English Premiership, the Welsh, Northern Irish, Irish and Scottish Football Associations see merit in a similar competition for association football.

With financial backing—some silent, some public—from major businesses, and proud and wealthy private individuals, the Scottish, Northern Irish, Welsh and Irish FAs have established a new seven tier system, with promotion and relegation, where all 148 main teams from those countries compete.

The four FAs have set out an ambitious goal, a top league—or two—that can compete at the highest levels of Europe, while the lower leagues focus on developing players from the nations themselves, and growing these players into the best footballers they can be. Not only that, keenly aware other leagues have created a system where teams risk everything to get to the top, for the financial rewards, the four FAs have decided their cornerstone will be sustainability. They want competition at all levels, with no teams forced to go to the wall. It will be better for everyone. And so the leagues have ensured TV deals, prize money and publicity for all levels.

The new system is designed to both celebrate and grow football across the 148 teams in Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Welcome to the Celtic Nations Leagues!

Have fun! And see if you can topple Rangers and Celtic with a smaller team.

Thanks for making this. I really like the fact that most levels have just 1 league. My laptop is using far too much time when I load other lower league databases which have mulitple leagues on the same level.

I am still on FM23 though, so I cannot play this, but I hope you'll get the attention this mod deserves.

    Hi,

My fellow Zambia Assistant Researcher @StanBoy11 has created this rather nifty file that enables the Zambian league system. It features the top two national leagues, as well as between three and five regional leagues per province below that, as well as the ABSA Cup and Charity Shield. So if you've ever wanted to try out a save in Africa, why not give it a try? We'd love to know what you think.

In your other topic you wrote an excellent summary of why we should play in Zambia. Perhaps add that info to this topic too, so everyone can read it.

Absent any work-around, the way the AI handles squad-building is fundamentally incompatible with the setup in the Gulf leagues where it's high-rep foreigners along with best-available domestics. Usually AI squad-building is a mess by the second or third season in leagues like MLS and Australia but it's in overdrive here

I think you can definitely mention this topic in the bugs/issues forums. Who knows, SI can do something about it in the next patch round so that the USA, Australia and the Middle East function better
