Ah damn, he signed mine. If he won't sign you might lose him on a free, not sure if youll be able to sell him for a fee. Is anyone interested in him/.

. He's pissing me off anyway so I might sell him haha

I use training schedules from FM Korea that someone posted on the forums here somewhere. Plus yeah I do the same with individual training.  I try and get their workload on heavy. They complain bu they can get over it, I'm their boss lol

One game left in the season and Mason. Williams, Chong and a couple of others want to leave for a prem level side, I told them I am your kidnapper and youll do what I say lol

Well I told williams to hang on as we have some great youth prospects coming through and we can match his ambitions.... he said he can't let kids dictate his career or some bollocks like that..... Seriously, a 19 year old said that hahahahahahahaha

I always tell them that their an important member of the squad and they calm down.

either way you should be getting promoted next season so screw ‘em their contracts should be long enough to get promoted and offer a new one

All of them are straight into the first team squad and training, both ALexander and Johnson are training as CBs. Dosso should be ready half way through next season the way I train them haha

Yeah Hubbard and Chambers looked like they would be good pretty quickly

How do you train your players?

i let the ass man do the actual training then I set position and extra training and I always set it to double intensity and haven’t really had any issues with injuries but I do tend to rotate where possible.

If I didn’t have AWB and Dalot on the right I may have kept Hubbard there but his attributes were too good to pass up as a CB

Dosso is way off replacing either

    5DKe560.jpg

Possibly both could be retrained as cbs but they would take a while

This is the best actual CB I got in the intake LOL

    Nd2nyVx.jpg

Yeah Dosso has a way to go.

id probably retain Alexander as a CB just so you’ve got him as a back up.

overall they both should develop quite well just gotta hope they improve quite quickly as well.

If you had the 2 defenders I had come through in Hubbard and Chambers you’d be laughing as they’d definitely be your starting pair.

Hubbard is in my second XI but he’s gonna be pushing for more starts this coming season to boost his growth, I’ll chuck up a screenshot when I get chance

Extreme Youth Development Challenge Season 1 Youth Intake

Hmm well it's not what I expected after what the provsional report from the HoYD said, back in December, but it was a nice mixed bag of players that has been labelled as the Golden Generation

    vJ2cUZU.jpg

Pretty happy with that, just not the CB I really need

    I’d take that mate

How do Johnson and Alexander look? Any possibility of them being retrained to help cover other areas?

Hopefully Dosso isn’t too far from the first team to replace Bishop and Kovar

This how we are doing by 30th of December, without the points deduction we would be 4th or 5th

    OAq3fkg.jpg

Have to win pretty much every game left if we are to have a chance of playoffs really lol

Your not doing too badly considering you had a points deduction.

definitely sounds like you need a defence / goalkeeper heavy intake this season

  6. Ah is Garner still in your squad? I didn’t see his name on the list you posted yesterday.

See I’d be tempted with that team to just retrain him as a CB until I got a couple more in youth intakes. Garner and Mengi should be good enough, possibly pay Mengi as a cover role so that he relies more on his pace

    Thanks sir :)

Yes but also how you can develop the actual  players already there. There are quite a few who have good potential already there in the u23s and u18s and the challenge is also keeping hold of them. Thats why it's only a 5 year challenge, just a bit of fun and its not long

I can see the first season being a struggle with (in my opinion, and experience with some of the players) only Greenwood, Gomes, Chong, Williams And Laird being ready for first team.

i imagine Hannibal wouldn’t take long to get to that level but the CBS would worry me

@Zeonflux I can't remember, were you one of those who were struggling to get a 4231 to work with Utd? Going by your recent update, I guess you have managed to get one to work? I could be getting you mixed up with someone else though.

Yeah I was fella, I was lucky enough to have @Powello sent me an early version of his and I’ve also got one of Knaps that I’m gonna use a a basis to get the team playing more to how I want them to

  9. 1 hour ago, Powello said:

Yeah thanks man, he now has 90 in 2 seasons haha he's getting close to messi and Ronaldo level now

He seems to work best in my tactic as a PF

That is definitely getting to that top bracket of player.

I think he’s on around 50 odd goals in 2 seasons for me which is good but not top level which is what I’m aiming for. Having said that I’ve been rotating him and Haaland all of season 3 and Haaland had about 33/34 goals in all comps and Mason has 28 so I’m happy with that

    Youth Development Season 5 Review

Let us begin with the transfers this season. Firstly I decided not to sell Rashford, instead I decided to rotate him more with Bellingham. He still annoyed me, but I didn't want to have to face him

    iMPPCwP.jpg

My DoF and HoYD went out in search of some young talent to bring in and nuture, they found 3 tasty looking ones. I personally brought in Sessegnon as a straight swap for the departing Shaw. Even though he is an AML on the game he is full green for wing back and I retrained him as well for that position. It was a costly signing but when we had over 600m in the kitty I didn't care much haha.

The youth intake was a bit kinder to us this season as we managed to get a CB with decent potential... AT LAST!!

    3FQJAbM.jpg

Not much else of quality in there though

    Competition Performance

Euro Super Cup - Won 5-2 v Tottenham - Nice way to start the season and Greenwood starting as he intended to go on with 3 goals

Carabao Cup - Lost on pens to Liverpool after a 2-2 draw in the 4th round - They went on to win it

FA Cup - Lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the Quarter Finals

Champions League - Lost 3-2 in the Final to Liverpool(argh) - So close to 2 years in a row

Premier League - Outstanding performance, breaking team rcords on the way and Greenwood finishing top scorer again with 30 goals

    Squad Stats for the Season

Greenwood just keeps getting better and better and is now getting close to Messi and Ronaldo level after scoring 40 last seaosn and now 50 this season, he isalso only a 100 or so behind Rooneys record, if he keeps at this level he will be United top scorer in aorund 2 seaosns.

Next season I think I will be selling a few players on, some of the youngsters need  more game time, not sure yet. Will decide that over the summer

Damn dude you quest to make Greenwood into an R9 scoring beast is going very well I see!

great work in the league, what role have you settled on for the ST?

  11. So the 3rd season is over and it was a fantastic end to a disappointing season.

We finally managed to beat Liverpool in a game with something on the line (I’m not counting a 1-0 win in the 1st leg of a SF) and beat them 2-1 at Wembley to win the FA cup thanks to a late Bellingham goal. It’s taken us 10 attempts to get something other than a loss and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

We also managed to prove that we can hang with the big boys after beating Bayern Munich 5-3 on aggregate and then Barcelona 4-0 on aggregate on the way to the CL final which we played against PSG. It wasn’t the prettiest of games and even with PSG we struggled to find the back of the net but a late Martial penalty sealed it and we and Champions of Europe.

To win both is fantastic but we disappointed in the league finishing 4th behind Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Overall we were never gonna catch Liverpool as then went unbeaten in the league all season but with 7 games to play we had 2 games in hand of the other 3 and were only 2 points behind Arsenal and 4 behind Chelsea but we blew it with silly draws and so I’m disappointed with that but we did have some tactical changes throughout the year so that didn’t help.

Moving onto next season I’m not sure what I’m planning to do squad wise, I don’t really need to bring anyone in as I’m happy with the players I’ve got and I want to give the backup youth players games as well but I also need to trim the squad down.

With a BWM, DLP and AM set up in midfield I don’t have room in the squad for Gomes, Pogba has become squad player due to Luis and De Jong playing better in the 2 and Bruno and Bellingham dominating the AM slot so he could go, Lindlof is already leaving and there’s a real possum he Maguire could follow as hes become a second team player behind De Ligt and Axel

  12. Well I’m nearly at the end of my 3rd season and I’ve already played the best game of the save so far, having gotten smashed 3-0 in Germany by Bayern Munich in the CL QF I went into the second leg hoping to not go out in disgrace but after 2 goals by Haaland and being 2-0 up with 20 minutes of the second leg left I started to dream, especially with us being dominant in the game.

The next 20 minutes went by with Neuer making world class saves and the Bayern post being rattled twice and the hope died.

5 minutes of injury time to play Haaland smashed in his 3rd of the game and completed the perfect hat trick and I erupted in joy and was politely asked to ‘sort my s**t’ by my partner but I was riding high and hope had sprung that we could actually do it.

Less than a minute later and Haaland added his forth after calmly rounding Neuer from a fantastic through ball by De Jong and I knew we were through to the Semis as we were on top and had the away goal. With 2 minutes of injury time still to play a long throw in was cleared back out to Dalot and after taking a touch to clear the ball out of his feet he whipped in a cross that was sweetly met by the head of Bellingham to bring us to 5-0 on the night and 5-3 in the tie.

Truely it was a fantastic game and it’s games like that that keep me coming back to FM20 and to the series year after year, all the frustration of losing to a relegation battling team with their only shot on target is lost like tears in the rain to the joys of games like that one.

Anyways we strolled through Barca in the SF and will play PSG in the final in Munich.

Like last season we’ve already won the Carabao Cup (which were not unbeaten in 18 games in) and were also into the final of the FA cup again, hopefully we’ll win it this time.

  13. 1 hour ago, Powello said:

Chambers will take till hes about 25 but he could be a decent backup cb if you develop him well.

Hubburd could make a pretty good rb if you train him as a CWB for a couple of years with extra training on quickness, then when he's 19/20 if he's not developed enough you could change it to BPD, at least then he would be very versatile, that's how I would go about developing him

Well I’m not sure if I’ll be keeping Chambers long term as he’s currently 6th choice and none of my other CBS are even in their 30s yet so chances are I’ll find a better regen before he makes the grade

Hubbard is already on quickness training and is being restrained at CB so his game time will come over both positions.

Also I’m almost at the wall in terms of frustration with the game itself at the moment, I think I’ve just hit the part of the season when your team goes through a bit of a lull and don’t play well but the last 4-5 matches I’ve played I’ve lost 3 of them drawn 1 and won the other but in all 3 games I’ve lost I’ve had more than 70% of my shots in the game on target and my players just don’t finish and it’s getting frustrating to constantly see your striker smash it straight at the keeper every time.

i didn’t rage quit the game I finished the match save and then turned off but played Chelsea last night and had 15 shots with 11 on target. Chelsea has 6 shots and 2 on target and they won 2-1, that got my annoyed but chelsea are still a good team in my save at the moment so I carried on but after that I played Bournemouth 25 shots, 17 on target and nothing Bournemouth has 9 shots and 3 on target and won 2-0 and I save turned off and I dunno it’s just getting a bit of a pain in the ass now

  14. So my only 2 youth intake players that will make it to the first team,

Chambers came through my first intake and looks like he could be a solid if unremarkable CB but he does have decent Marking, Bravery, Determination and Jumping Reach.

Hubbard came through my second intake and although he started as an RB i dont feel he's gonna make it there long term but at 17 and with 5* potential he has more than enough room to grow into a very good Ball Playing Centre Back which is what i have him training to be
