For the end of my second season I’ve changed to a 433 with a DLPs in the dm strata and 2 cm and it’s been working a treat.
since signing Kane to replace Lukaku he’s got 12 goals in 13 apps

Dammm!!! That’s some kid you got there, I’d have him as rotation for like a season or two, give him like 10-15 of the easier league games and the smaller cup games then at 17 he’d be my number one

well I finished my second season with only 2 losses in the league. 1 to Wedt Ham at the end of February and 1 to Tottenham on the last day of the season to a 93rd minute header which also gave Tottenham the title.
Got revenge 2 weeks later when I beat them in the CL final. Also took him the Carabao and FA cups (beat city on pens in the FA cup final)
now I’ve been called petty before on FM, most notably when as Spain manager last year I dropped Sergio Ramos and never picked him again after he kept trying to convince Pogba to leave for Madrid but this year I’ve gone one better. Since Tottenham beat me to the league I sold Lukaku to Madrid and brought Kane for a total of £320m, didn’t need him as Lukaku was Europe’s top goalscorer in the second season but sod em

well I had a period of getting the striker to score but the AMC was doing bugger all.
Changed the AMC role and the striker became invisible.
IF on the left can either pop up with a match winner or be a useful as a condom machine in the Vatican.
Winger puts crosses in but they tend to be easily cleared or missed from 6 yards out

Has anyone got the front 4 in a 4-2-3-1 to work properly yet? I keep having periods where one position will play well but the other 3 are absolutely useless

I’m currently playing the carabao cup final in the second season and I was unbeaten throughout the season in domestic competitions until the start of February when I lost 1-0 to West Ham thanks to a 92nd minute penalty.
having only lost one game in the league I currently sit 3rd in the league with both Liverpool and Tottenham above me due to then winning games which I draw.

Ben Beecher must be a preprogrammed name, I’m happy enough with how mine has been generated, already close to first team from what the coaches say and he’s probably better attribute wise than Mason Greenwood

Well after a terrible start to the first season that left me in 7th place in the league come the January transfer window. I spent £120m total on brining Dybala to Old Trafford and with a new 4-2-3-1 set up with Pogba as an AP and De Jong as a DLP in the mc strata I managed to finish 3rd in the league and win the FA cup but got knocked out of the CL quarters by PSG

This lad arrived in my first Youth Intake of my game and he's pretty beastly. Already has 2 goals for the first team after i chucked him on as a sub against lower table opposition.
He's also now the record holder of youngest united player, youngest premier league player and youngest goal scorer for both united and in the premier league

Brought Dybala in the Jan transfer window of the first season to help resurrect my season and he’s popped up with 3 assists and a goal in his first 2 appearances

I think I got him for like £78m but that was about £40m up front plus add ons, I’m able to get to my laptop at the moment but when I can I’ll let you know how much I got him for and the exact deal

I did think about that but then I decided on Chiesa in case Chong or Gomes (I’m using both as back ups on either flank) get any serious issues that limit their growth.
An older player is only a stop gap where as having Chiesa, Ching and Gomes gets me set for at least 10 seasons

Chiesa is an odd one in front of goal.
In my beta save he was my top goal scorer during preseason with 8 goals in 5 matches and then I think he had like 7/8 during the season.
Only just started my main save and he didn’t score in preseason but in my first 6 games I believe he has 2 goals and 6 assists in all comps

Chiesa is doing well for my Utd team in my save, I sold off Lingard to Arsenal for £50m so I can have Chiesa as my AMR winger and then it planning on using Angel Gones as his back up

Check the offers from other clubs first before you judge. I only say this because in my save I was offering £28m for De Ligt and Ajax rejected but then I eventually agreed for £32m I believe and then I got a message saying Chelsea had a bid of £20m accepted. Wasn’t until I checked that they’d offered £20m up front and another £20m in add ons

After having to restart my United save the other day after not realising the Ed Woodward was in charge of the contract negotiations and him failing to agree a deal with De Ligt.
After restarting I’ve brought in De Ligt and De Jong from Ajax, Tierney from Celtic and Chiesa from Fiorentina. On the way out so far has been Lingard to Arsenal for £50m and Darmian to China for £8.5m, also looking to get rid of Smalling, Rojo, Romero, Young, Fellaini and maybe Mata
Looking to play a Wide Play 4-4-2 with the winger in the AM strata as my main formation.
GK - De Gea / Grant
RB - Herrera / Dalot
CB - Lindlof, De Ligt / Bailly, Jones
LB - Shaw / Tierney
CM - Matic, Fred / Pogba, De Jong
AMR - Chiesa / Gomes
AML - Martial / Chong
CF - Sanchez, Rashford / Lukaku, Greenwood
Thats roughly gonna be the first team with McTominay, Gribbin, Laird and maybe one or two other youth players as well for cup games and obviously any of the players I don’t manage to sell.
Only other possible addition might be Kliuvert to play on the right with Chiesa but I’m thinking of sticking with Gomes and Chong as my back ups

It would have to be a Regen i had on FM11 i brought him from Palermo at 19 and had him tutored by Vidic in my United team.
He was labelled as the next Franco Baresi, he was 6ft8" and about 15 stone something, he came to me with Heading, Jumping and Strength 18, Tackling 17, Marking 16, Composure and Concentration 15
After a year of tutoring with Vidic, i used him as Vidic's replacement after Vidic broke his ankle..........Vidic never started another meaningful match for me.
The lad had become a beast Heading, Jumping, Strength and Tackling 20, Concentration and Marking 19 and Composure 17 plus most of his other mental stats were either 15 or over. Just wished he was faster at pace and acceleration than 12.
I used to stick him on the back post from corners and he's smash in about 15 a season in all competitions

how do you find the front 4 play in your 4-2-3-1 as when I’ve used it only one of the 4 will ever play well at a time
