As a young journeyman with no badges at all, i seek a challenge and i find it at AFC CREWE. -2 seasons 2 champions so far, over 50 transfers in, another 50 go out. -records all the way, poits, wins, goals, minimum loses. - a star named Mulligan-Green - a dream, to conquer English football However, i don't know why i cant compete in cups... DOUBLEALPACA Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 Well, season 3 isn't finished but we have already secured the title! With four games remaining, we have secured the automatic promotion as champions and are now looking forward to our fourth season at the club (although, having said that I still haven't had an offer to renew my contract, so I'll probably request that right away!) As you can see, it wasn't quite the forgone conclusion we had seen in the previous 2 seasons, but the team has none the less punched above its weight by winning the league on the lowest salary in the league by a fair whack! I'll be going into next season with positivity and I'll report back before the start of next season to share how the team will be shaping up and what our prospects look like in the next step up! 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mackenie Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 (edited) Season 4 Sold one of our few contracted players for 90k before the season got underway to secure our poor finances, was appreciated considering our FA cup prelim elimination. Then we kinda just won nearly every game of the season, taking the league title and two cups, in the end thanks to the FA Vase win (our first trip to Wembley) we would have just about broken even on our finances. I've won the league, recently turned Semi Professional and have been given my wage budget for S2. However in the last 2 months I've seen 2 HEAVY expenditure months but cant track the source of my now black hole - it states other but thats it!! If anyone has any advise why this could of happened or if has happened on your saves let me know. To stop the scouting spending go to "No Scouting" & then go to Shortlist and Untick keeping the shortlist updated. it will stop unnecessary spending. The scouting spending is minimal - £1708 per month. That I can deal with and your correct probably should of turned this off when I was happy with squad size. Reaching to the Fourth Round before being dumped out by Sunderland 4-0 And Because of our Run in the FA Cup. Im happy to show everyone our finances. At the end of Season 5 I was sitting at -332,000. Mackenie Posted February 5 Share Posted February 5 Season 6 Well, for the first time this save we did not win the league, just couldn't best Nantwich who had a blinder of a season. To make matters worse the promotion slipped through our fingers on penalties, despite twice having a penalty to win the shoutout. Maybe too much care given to keeping our finances in shape meant we struggled with a squad on low on depth. Although, with the many decisions I took (and the massive database of >300k players), I progress very slowly, even with around 18 hours of running time. Are taking holidays a-OK in this challenge or do I have to witness every league/cup match? I've made myself ready for Level 11 according to my >10 JPA/JPP scouts, I want to test their predictions.
