  1. Season 18 Second first season in the Prem goes much better, sneaking a spot in europe.
  2. Season 17 Yea can't have only one team in the prem still, so I smashed out a new season in the championship with our new possession based style to keep things marginally interesting, though I have no doubt which way it will go still. Also made a proper cup final and got the new stadium plans announced after two years, with another 3 year to build ffs.
  3. Season 16 A step too far, we were too naive in thinking our attacking direct tactics would be enough to keep us up in our first season. now we have a lot of players on cheap relegation clauses, including a 21 year old 4 and a half star CB we have just sold for 20m whose value at his new club was 80-100m . Relegation sucks
  4. Season 15 Can't have only one in the prem Also got offered the France job which is cool.
  5. AFC Crewe board take no prisoners, more than a couple of times I thought my run might end like this.
  6. Season 14 Settled into the championship nicely, thought we might squeak into the playoffs but I don't mind building up for another season. I only sign players found by my scouts as I think using the player search function is boring, might take 10 more seasons to win the premier league even if we get up there Also it's taken over 13 seasons and 11 promotions to finally get a paid contract.
  7. Season 13 Toughest season of the save by far, hard to compete with the teams spending more in a week than we do nearly all year. With the help of returning legend Michael Boulton (not that one), we managed a too closer for comfort survival. I'll take it.
  8. Season 12 I've always found league one to be about the same level as league two, so it's not a massive surprise we end up with another promotion. Heading into the last day we were joint second on GD a point off the title, luckily a big last day win earned us the title. We also got close on possibly our last appearance in the Bristol street motors trophy. Our finances are pretty steady and I don't see them being an issue now, spent another 700k on training ground improvements and it's still only on below average, must take a fortune to get to decent training facilities. One thing is for sure, the championship is gonna be real tricky, I will be happy with survival next season for sure.
  9. Season 11 Got there at the second attempt, again bottom two after around 10 games but this time working up to the promotion spots and staying there, ending up just a point off the league two title. Got plenty of young talents, lets hope they can mature fast enough to keep us in league one.
  10. Season 10 Proud of my boys, bottom of the table after nearly 10 games with a wage budget of a third of any other team and still a few players on non contracts. Went on a great run and briefly got into the automatic promotion spots before losing out on the playoffs on the final day. Not a bad start to life in the football leagues. We also made a bunch of money with the tv rights and solidarity payments coming it at around 3 quarters of a million, promptly investing over 300k in training and youth facilities. We also smashed our average league attendance record getting 1500 fans in every week. Our FFP was increased to a more reasonable 20k a week which is higher than our 15k wage budget. May be another year of stabilisation in the football leagues this coming season but we do have some young talents locked into long contracts which is nice.
  11. Harsh on CJWills1991 as I got significantly less points in my National League title win. Interesting to see how he deals with the FPP cap aswell. I've also had to grind a bit harder thanks to missing out on one of the promotions
  12. Season 9 For the first season in the save the board were not expecting automatic promotion but a more sensible mid table finish, after a shaky start we did end up going on an insane run including 27 unbeaten to narrowly clinch the title and make it up to the actual football leagues ! We subsequently went professional and had to move to a bigger ground. Our new home is the Mornflake stadium, which just so happens to be Crewe Alexandra's ground, as they are also in league two they decided we may as well share with us, which is a little surprising. Our wage budget is increased nearly double to 15k but here's the kicker, we are now subject to FPP rules which means we can only spend 50% of our turnover, so our actual wage budget isn't 15K at all but a mere 8K. This see's us severely low on players, just 15, heading into our first league two match. To top it off we also had a transfer embargo for 3 months as Andrew Black finally decided to cash in on our success, we are now owned by the fans. Tough season ahead but let me give you a sneak preview, our first home game of the season see's a massive increase in attendance, 2500 fans with 1000 of them being ours. We also played our first Carabao cup match of the season, away to none other than West Ham in just our second match of the season, which netted us a quarter of a million, just need FPP to catch up so we can sign more players.
  13. Just a mix of random 50k-100k player sales, usually get at least one a season, as well as a few good cup runs here and there. I also didn't really need to go to the top of the wage budget in most seasons.
  14. Andrew Black threatens to sell every season for me but hasn't yet, probably because we've been promoted 7 times without him having to spend a penny. As soon as we stop getting prize money or selling players I'm sure he'll be off like a shot
