  1. BREAKING NEWS AFC Crewe have been confirmed as The Staffordshire County Senior League Division 1 Champions (in real life) following their 5-1 victory at the weekend. If anybody who has taken any interest in the club following this challenge would like to attend our final home league game of the season the details are as follows: Venue: Wood Park Stadium, Alsager Entry: Optional Donation Date: 27/04/2024 2pm Match: AFC Crewe vs Newcastle Town Reserves There will be ground tours, potential merchandise on sale and the all important trophy lift! Hope to see some of you there.
  2. AFC Crewe - Season 2 Review I finally managed to find some time to finish Season 2 & we make it back to back league wins! It was a real struggle with Foley Meir for the majority of the season & I couldn't quite seem to get the top spot until the team went on an unreal winning run to close out the season. Transfers: Players in: 15 (Including 2 loans) Players Out: 11 Loans & Free transfers were utilized throughout the course of the season. These 2 players were the stand out picks of the bunch who were brought in: Will De Wilde: Courtney Lashley: Facility Upgrades: Not too much to report again from this side of things for the season just gone. I was accepted right at the end of the season to study for my National B Licence and the board accepted my request for improved junior recruitment mid-way through the season. Youth: Unfortunately this years intake wasn't too good, however 3 of the previous years intake made their debuts at some point this season and are ticking along nicely. With that being said, our U18 team just missed out on a league title, losing the last game of their season. My youth team is now extremely large with 35 players so finding some loan moves next season will be a priority for those who have some decent potential: Finance Balance:
  3. Updated Leader Board: @jetscott23 - Thats a fine achievement right there with the Europa League! I feel like you're on the cusp of completing this! @ramboacdc - I can confirm that Kieran is making an attempt at the Champions League. He may be the first to win the Premier League but there's still an opening to become the first Champions League winner! @jacobdenniss - I've upvoted and responded to your post. I'm not a kit maker myself and I'm not sure why that file is no longer available. Hopefully somebody can provide us with some new kits soon!
  4. Hi all, Has anyone got a new link that could be used here? I'm not actually the kit creator but there are some extremely talented people in here! Any help would be appreciated
  5. Updated Leader Board: @kieran_stutesconfirmed in gold at the top - Some good movement this week. Can anybody else join him in the AFC Crewe Challenge HOF?
  6. It's official! @kieran_stutes has had his database verified and has won the official challenge, becoming a board member in the process! As mentioned - The challenge still continues on here and I'd love to see more of you Journey up the track! I'll attempt to get the official competition made a yearly event but please please please keep on posting. I'll update the leader board and create a HOF over the weekend. If anyone is interested about the project we have got going on you can visit https://www.nufan.co.uk/ for more details or alternatively if you just want to watch us play, every game is shown live on Veo by searching for AFC Crewe.
  7. Just an update following this breaking news. @kieran_stuteshas been pointed in the direction of one of our Co-chairmen who will look over the save and ensure there has been no editor activity/excessive holiday time etc. If all okay - Kieran becomes a lifetime board member at AFC Crewe! Please please please continue with this challenge - Although the official prize has potentially gone, there are still places up for grabs in the challenge HOF. We also appreciate any interest this has generated in our little club. We were created by fans, for fans! Updates to follow....
  8. Congratulations!!! Seriously, huge congratulations! This is incredible! I'll message you in the direct messaging and get you in contact with the club. They are likely to vet the database as per the formalities but this is incredible. I'll update the leader board over the weekend but you officially make the AFC Crewe Journey Up the Track Hall of Fame as the first ever person to complete the challenge!
  9. @Mackenie & @kieran_stutes - I'm really enjoying this battle that you both have going on! Massive congratulations on your run so far! Especially the cup double and European football @kieran_stutes. Who will be the first to complete the challenge??? @Thomas Kynes - Commiserations on your sacking. You make history by being the first player sacked during the challenge! Here's how the leader board is looking: I'm extremely jealous of everyone's progress - I've nearly finished season 2 and just haven't found any time to play.
  10. This is actually incredible! Not sure if you're already a board member but I've let the others know in the Discord. I believe you're the closest person to completing this challenge. ONE LAST PUSH!!
  11. Updated Leader Board: The points have also been added back into the 1st post on the thread. The top pack are starting to get very close to the end of the challenge! Who can make it there first?!?!
  12. Good evening all So good to see you all persisting with this challenge - Just to confirm, there are no confirmed 'Winners' as of yet outside of this SI forum thread so it's all still to play for. @CJWills1991 Hope you're feeling better following the Covid! Here's how the updated Leader Board looks: I'm very aware that the points have disappeared from the initial post. I've had an extremely busy few weeks which have prevented me from playing the game, however I will ensure that the point system is uploaded again by the end of the week. I'll also be completing a sense check of the whole thread whilst it's at 6 pages to double check points and trophies. @Horatio Nelson - A massive warm welcome to the clubs board! Glad you've settled in well on there, I'll keep an eye out for you and say hi! Finally from me - If you notice anything that may be wrong on this thread, please don't hesitate to drop me a message. I'll ensure that the points are added back to the initial post and everything that has gone on so far is double checked by the end of play Sunday this week.
  13. Good Evening Everyone. I've had a busy few days so apologies for the late leader board update. Here's how things currently stand: Both @Mackenie & @CJWills1991 have made it to the football league and sit nicely in League 2. Mackenie has taken the league by winning the National League but there is an extremely interesting battle brewing here. Can you all please sense check the above when you read this post please. Mainly the 'points' section more than the trophies. Trophies can include anything e.g. League wins, play offs, runner up trophies etc. I'm more concerned with the points but appreciate the fact that if we're going to run this, then we do it properly. I'm only human so it's inevitable that an odd error will pop in here and there. We have no confirmed accounts of this challenge being completed yet outside of the SI forum so it's all still to play for. In the real world AFC Crewe currently sit top of the Staffordshire County Senior League Division 1 and if anyone wants to catch any of the games, every single one is streamed live via the VEO app. All you have to do is download the app on your phone and search 'AFC Crewe'.
  14. Hi all, Again a massive thanks from me & everybody at AFC Crewe for taking part in this challenge. I live a busy life so I wish I could play as much as some of you, however if you're not already a board member at the club, we just enjoy the exposure this challenge is giving our little club! Here's an updated leader board: To answer some questions: @Thyra7 I'm unsure if there are any kit/logo packs floating about for FM23. Have you tried giving it a go with the packs that are in this thread? If they don't work, it could be a case that the club ID number attached to them is not matching due to the differences between FM23 & FM24. My knowledge on the editor is very vague, but if you're able to get into the pre-game editor and search AFC Crewe, you can obtain the clubs unique ID. I believe you then just re-save the packs but you would save them with the name showing the FM23 unique ID. Hope that made sense, and if anyone in here is any better with packs and things, please let me know if I'm wrong here. It's also a pleasure being able to run this! @aldiyaz For exact rules if you're competing for a place on the board you can read up here: https://www.afccrewe.com/club-information/fm24-own-a-club-share-competition-tcs?fbclid=PAAabvOmSmr9BbpuGzo6S5Y997oZmcexSIbqLPIkWjo3lcx9FSIyVn14wHJJg I'll be copying this into the main bio as well. @kieran_stutes - I've just typed all this up and you've posted at 08:30am! This is commitment!! I haven't included your league win in this update, however I'll make a note to pop it into the next one. Hope you all have a great day!
  15. Had a busy weekend but I will look at updating the leader board tomorrow Will also respond to any questions that have been asked and direct messages since the last update.
  16. We are. Anyone who completes the challenge will have their database looked into. I doubt this person has completed it without a fair bit of simulation.
  17. There are some basic logos and kit images in the first post of the thread (near the bottom) There are also some 3D kits I believe somewhere on page 2.
  18. We've requested the save file to vet it and so far we've had no response. The show goes on!!!
  19. AFC Crewe 2023/2024 Season Review Champions: Leek Town Reserves pushed us all of the way this season, however about 7 games before the end, they started to draw a few games which really opened the gap up. My AFC Crewe scored 95 goals throughout the course of the season and I'm a little gutted that we didn't make the 100. With that being said, considering we made 0 transfers, to have scored the most goals and conceded the least whilst winning the league comfortably is a successful season in my eyes. Transfers: We lost Caine Mellor near the back end of the season. This was a huge blow for us because he was on for player of the season. Shame on him more than anything because shortly after this we turned Semi-Pro and started paying players. I hope it was worth it Caine - Enjoy your amateur club! I'm still undecided whether or not to turn this into a youth save as well moving forward - What are your thoughts? Youth Intake: I'm really pleased with this youth intake. Some really strong defenders coming through, including the beast posted above. There's quite a handy GK that has also come through. If I decide to go with youth only, I'll look to integrate these players into pre-season. Summary: This has been a really positive first season. The board have agreed to improve youth recruitment, turn us semi-pro, send me away for my National C qualifications & increase our junior coaching budget. Overall we made a loss of £2224.00 over the course of the season and only lost one player. We lost a few members of staff here and there, however we have replaced and improved our staff members whenever this has happened. We won the league convincingly in the end and had a fairly decent youth intake. I've definitely adopted the more difficult route to start this challenge by opting to not make transfers - Who wants to see how far we can go using youth only?
  20. Good afternoon all, Some incredible progress being made again on here! There are obviously some players who are not keeping us updated on here, however I can confirm that nobody has completed the challenge yet. Here is how the leader board currently looks: Points to note: Thyra7 - This member has opted to start the challenge using FM23. AFC Crewe are in the Crewe & District league in FM23 and we haven't included them in the points system. We will give 5 points for a C&D league win. I'm going to get myself onto this leader board by the end of tomorrow!
  21. Great update! Would love to see more like this on here! We haven't taken into account anybody starting this save using FM23 from the Crewe & District league when it comes to the points. I'll award you 5 points for the league & 5 points for the cup. I'll ensure this is consistent with anybody else starting from the C&D league.
  22. Thank you so much for creating these! Will give them a whirl later on. Would you be okay if I add this download to the 1st pinned post?
