Any way to stop scouts repeatedly scouting the same player?

My scouts seem to scout the same players, even though we have extensive knowledge of them.

I manually cancel the scouting then one or two days later they're back scouting them again. Seems like a waste of money and resource

No they're not- currently have a very small shortlist and don't have keep scout reports up to date ticked.

I assume they are being re-scouted because they fall under one of your Recruitment focuses, if you add the players to the Not Interested list, does that help?

There's a box you can tick when setting up a Recruitment Focus that excludes players from other focuses. That might help. Other than that, are you sending your scouts to different locations, or keeping them in the same places the whole time? Depending on the paramters of your focuses, the quality of your team and the ability of your scouts, there may not actually be a huge pool of players to choose from.

yeah, @Jimbokav1971 has the answer. Although it's not ideal, because as I understand it, they're not interested list excludes them from searches rather than just stopping scouts wasting time fully scouting a player you already know enough about and arent prioritising

Take charge of scouting they will be still scouting (is their job) but much much less you can even tell them not to send email and set the range only to locals
