Also is a nice touch that Heber scored the last goal of this season.

We stole him from NYFC and we basicly changed spots in the league.

Amazing season.

Maybe try to win the league with "Pulis Ball"....a 4-4-2 Route One approach? Also, maybe accept all trade offers or only drafted or academy players?

But maybe academy + Superdraft route would be a nice challenge next.

Here is the job center right after we left Inter Miami.

Four jobs open, two I already done and the other two I cant.

 

So lets see what job opens and then we decide what to do at the new club.

Two weeks later...

LA Galaxy got the manager of Toronto, so this job opens. Sadly not eligable.

Also Dallas got a new coach, the freshly sacked Atalanta coach.

 

Still I need to look at Toronto, because the favorite Oliver Wyss is the current Minnesota coach.

This was my secret goal.

 

Idk if I fully complete the remaining 12 teams, but atleast 1 or 2 more.

But I figured out, its pretty easy to just come back an MLS save.

Every season you start "at zero" and work towards the registration.

We took over a big squad.

Sadly the Draft already happend.

 

Our best players are Darlan, Hunou and Reynoso.

Finances are looking healthy.

 

 

Sadly we got no TAM left, so I cant bring in players with really big contracts.

We got a nice chunk of GAM to play with the Salary Cap.

Also then Draft picks are looking not good.

 

I decided not add another rules to the save like youth only.

Im just moving on and just show and all things about the MLS.

Also looking at the team and the key players, I think I bust out this one.

Lets see if it works also in the MLS.

I went through the squad and this is the result...

Welll...thats a lot of work.

 

The goal and defense is fine, but we got no right IWBs.

The midfield is fine, just needing some backups.

The AMC is fine.

With Hunou we got only one striker, so this is the key target.

 

We only got 7 international slots, but currently only 2 are gettin used.

And we got a lot of room in the Cap.

 

 

Lets go to work.

Pretty wonky preseason.

Only against Colorado I finally had a first XI with no bad feelings.

So we probably need the first half of the season to get goin.

 

 

The media gives us a solid 10th place after all the signings we made.

I think we started around 20th.

Sadly Dallas finally dropped off.

 

Tough away game against Houston to start the season.

Also LAFC will be a big task.

The rest should be equal or slighly below us.

Transfer Overview - Winter 2025

We sold some players to non-MLS teams.

Gressel was on too high wages in my eyes and Gallagher was a pretty poor winger.

Trades

 

 

Trade business was tough, but in the end we did ok.

We played the game and used everything to make a decent team. Not great, but decent.

And yes we bought in 3 Inter Miami players, because they were all transfer listed by their new manager.

Their new manager is the old Minnesota manager, so this is kinda funny.

Sadly the Draft already happend. Both are rubbish and went straight to the B team.

We bought in three free former MLS players in Bradley, Mendez and Rodriguez.

Bradley got one more season left in his tank and will retire at the end of the season.

He is also a coach, so he is on cheap wages.

 

We also spent some money.

Yes its Zaza, yes he is 33 years, but he still looks decent. He is on decent wages too.

But I need to make sure, that he never will shoot pens.

 

Also I signed 6 academy players. All 5* potential and 16/17 years.

The will get 2 years in the B team and we will see if someone makes it.

Registration went fine and pretty easy.

 

We still got 1 DP spot open.

And for the first time I didnt use the max. 10 Off-Budget players, because we got players on pretty low senior contracts.

Thats why Wallace will get a lot of game time, so maybe he will develop into it.

Mendes might be a bit short as HB, but in this formation it doenst really matter.

He is a really good DLP and thats the player I need there.

Sadly we need to sell Reynoso, because the team was mad...after he was mad...because he couldnt leave....

So I went the old and trusted route and bought in Heber for proably his last MLS season.

Sales will be right behind him and Memo is the backup

Once I saw Maja was listed, I needed to get him.

Hopefully he can be as good as he was for us at Miami.

With Hunou he got a good partner and with Zaza and Bajamich we got two decent backups.

The US Open is always hard to predict, because the hot period is always in the 2nd part of the season.

I think we got a team, who can atleast finish top 3 in the conference.

Playoffs and MLS Cup are also hard to predict, because its single-leg.

If everybody it fit...the sky is the limit.

 

I think after now atleast 10-12 seasons overall over all FMs, I would say the statement is true.

If you got a working formation and football idea, you just need to find the right players, you can go far very quick.

 

And if you can play the game of trades/draft/assets very good, I think you can turn a team into a title winning team in less then 24 months.

I think a big part of it is that the MLS AI is not that good, I think rating of assets are wrong.

 

For e.g. player rights

I just did this one to show it and not because I need the GAM currently.

250k GAM is a lot for some crap players right of three former youth players.

 

Technically you could sign every player from your youth intake, put them into the B team and let them go at the end of their contract.

You keep the players rights and next season sell them for 3 for 200-250k GAM.

Terrible game against Dallas away, but after that one the engine started rolling.

Simone Zaza was a pretty good choice and is now our starting F9.

We will play Club America in the first round.

Probably the toughest oponent you can get...

Beat NYRB pretty easy and we won both cup games, which means we are in the quarter final.
