Undefeated in the league, and if we win our game in hand against Fulham we shoot up the table into 7th. We were also mixed in the Europa League, with a huge win over Slovan followed by a heavy loss to Napoli at home. In the EFL Cup, we needed penalties to get by Leicester and equal our best ever finish in the tournament.

Hi buddy, I'm just curious how do you measure these overalls? Just key attributes etc or something completelly different?

Yeah, the overalls are based on a formula I created which takes into account the key attributes for the role they're playing, as well as the attributes considered "preferable" but they are assigned a smaller weighting. So the key attributes are worth 100% of their initial value and the preferable attributes are worth about two-thirds of their original value.

A mixed month, in which we beat Liverpool with virtually a second team, only to get destroyed by United playing essentially the same side. Still, we're only a few good results out of the European places, and our last Europa League game against Slovan is extremely winnable, so we can make it out of the group. Even if we don't we still have the Conference League.

Can say I quite enjoy using the formula's you created on my saves. Fantastic tool for monitoring growth, and checking on players that are not improving.

Ugh, I just love our inconsistency, it's frankly teeth-pulling. At this stage we're in a good position to push for the top 4, but we need some of that Curzon Ashton second half of the season special to make it work.

A tough opening encounter in the knockout stages, Lille have been consistently top 5 in Ligue 1.

Thanks Punch, I'm honestly surprised and humbled that quite a few people are using these formulas, asking for my spreadsheets or using their own adaptation based on what I've done. It was only meant to be a weird little thing I could do to make the game more interesting for me when it came to making transfers, I never expected it to catch on in the slightest.

I find it just adds another unique level to the game. Some people love spreadsheets to track all kinds of things, some hate it and just want to play the game. Each to their own

A hugely busy month, but also a quite successful month. We started with a good win against a Chelsea side who've been really disappointing this season, and at this stage are looking like not playing in Europe next season. We then beat recently promoted Southampton before forcing a replay against West Ham with a second XI lineup. Then came the huge one. A 3-1 win over City, our first ever win over them and one that I don't think was a fluke. We then finished off West Ham in the FA Cup, two exhausting draws against Tottenham and Everton, before defeating relegation favourites Crystal Palace away. After all that, we're up into 4th, but it's very close from 3rd-10th.

I run my own numbers in a similar sort of way. Something that I've been refining a great deal over different versions of FM.

Its how I stay sane ;)

Out of the FA Cup, but that just frees up more rest days, and we definitely need them. We somehow got out of jail against Lille, and are rewarded with a favourable draw in Almeria. Although not commonly considered a Spanish mainstay, they've finished 5th in La Liga the past few seasons. Pretty cool to see Linfield make it this far too! Things are still going well in the EPL, but we have a tricky away fixture against Liverpool coming up next month.

There's no better way to stay sane! It's actually pretty cool to see a whole host of academic journal articles that use FM to evaluate player ability and transfer value in real life.

2032 Youth Intake

Dajour Peddie 11A  -  Daniel Allen 11B  -  Kyle Lindsay 11C

What an intake.

Not one, not two, but three players described as promising. Peddie with 15 tackling and Lindsay with 15 finishing already! I'm hoping these guys can develop quickly.

A much needed quieter month, with two away draws in the league adding to a tightening race for the final Champions League spots. We're also through to the last 8 of the Europa League, where we get a fairly favourable draw in Sociedad. I say favourable in the sense that we have home advantage, so we can go into Spain with a strong position if we win.

A month with some incredible results, including the 3-2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates and the baffling 3-0 dismantling of United at home. We're in a position where 3rd is easily attainable and 2nd could be reached too. But I just want a CL spot. Our run in the Europa League appears to be at an end as well, as we head to Monaco 2 goals down.

A pretty favourable run home, and we secure 3rd place and a Champions League spot for next season. We also did our best to chase Monaco down, but it wasn't enough. Doesn't matter, a semi final spot is a huge achievement for a club in only its second continental tournament. Hopefully this means we're here to stay and a force to be reckoned with in the seasons to come.

New signings Gemmell and Citi were instrumental on opposite sides of the pitch, with the wonderkid netting 20 goals and creating 13 more. He's going to be worth some big dollars.

2032 Preseason

cd39319141c49e35c123f090d72cbac7.png

A highly successful preseason, with the inflated scorelines a result of our trip to Singapore. We can ignore the first result as well because everyone who was anyone was playing for the U23s that day. But strong results against clubs like Porto and Villarreal give me some real optimism that we can have a consistent season from start to finish rather than catch a rhythm late.

Transfers (In)

73783ecc2a0ae3f04b89bcc257f5f8ab.png

We spent a whopping 130M on new players this window, helped by a big sale which I'll allude to later.

69599a2aca616e8dbcb872945364fb06.png

Ong is our new Advanced Forward, and is quite the physical specimen. I'm hoping he can score just like he did in the preseason.

Jair may not look particularly elite, but is very well rounded with no glaring weaknesses except maybe pace. Bought nearly 10 years ago by Arsenal, he gained his English citizenship as a result of his time there and also at West Ham. Excited to see what he can do at CB.

New RB Haydon Roberts joins us after stints with Huddersfield, Southampton and Fulham after coming out of the Brighton academy and playing some games there too.

If Roberts above was a massive bargain, I think we overpaid for Shawn. Still, he's an excellent player, and fills a need at LB where he'll start. Aside from loans he's spent his entire career at Aston Villa.

dc7c85de49863890a7d38c4943e42d7a.png

Bought by Leicester from Gremio in 2025, Sadi was a decent player for the Foxes, before being transfer listed and picked up by us. Here's hoping he'll be a big contributor on the left side.

Transfers (Out)

fbe578d63129a45d2f42ee2e8aac9653.png

The big sale is Esquivel, as Tottenham met his release clause. I'm not too concerned about that, as the 35m profit we made was reinvested into other signings to make the team stronger.

Predicted 13th, which means we're finally getting the recognition we deserve. I'm not too sure about Hull predicted up in 10th though.

A bit wayward with our loss to Wolves, but we corrected the course at the end of the month. Our second and third games played with our full strength side ended up being the big wins over Leeds and Atletico. If only they'd stop getting injured!

A really tough month where we wave goodbye to getting anything good from the league, but after an amazing performances against Real Madrid and then Wolfsburg we somehow have one foot in the Champions League final and potential completion of the England part of this challenge. It astounds me that going far in the CL is easier than being competitive in the Premier League. I guess it's hard to compete with 6 clubs with endless amounts of ridiculous money. We're still only around 15th in total wage expenditure.

We did it! England complete :D I'll be doing the Club World Cup which is 16 days from this point and then call it a day to manage in the next country, which is Spain I believe. I still find it amazing that we were never even competitive to come close to winning the league but we rode all the luck we could get to win  the Champions League. This English system is such a tough slog, having to be promoted 5 times and fighting wage constraints until you hit the big bucks of the EPL. I won't miss it, that's for sure.

Time for Spain!

Spain's neighbours have been activated as playable, and it will be interesting to see what Andorra and Gibraltar get up to. I've also added the increased realism pack by @Daveincid, and the added leagues are by @davie77, except the Moroccan leagues which are courtesy of @Wolviam.

Time to see where I end up!

It took me a year in-game, but I finally have a team. Every club is professional in Spain to begin, and the only clubs interested in me with the lack of qualifications were B and C teams of La Liga clubs. Once the year rolled over and new teams were promoted the chance came, and Vimenor are my club for the Spanish segment of this challenge. Interestingly, they're a factory team, a window-making factory if the translation is correct.

André Branco  -  Ángel Zorrilla  -  Antonio Pastor

It's a pretty young squad, but also thin. I have about 4.4k of wages to use up on new signings, so hopefully I can get plenty of guys for less than 400 p/w.  I've also reverted back to my favourite 3 at the back formation.

Good stuff! I wasn't expecting you to win the CL that early with Curzon Ashton!

Looking forward to seeing you rise up the Spanish system, and hopefully seeing if Andorra or Gibraltar can pull up any trees and provide you with some useful players!
