smp20 Posted April 26, 2020 Author Share Posted April 26, 2020 Transfers ~ Facilities ~ Finances ~ Upgrades ~ Player Stats Promotion, treble and a venture to the Scottish Cup final toasts a fantastic season that will be very difficult to top. This season was the first time we've been able to offer proper part-time contracts which has meant we've been able to keep a settled squad. Robert Russell returned to the club and continued where he left off, though he's not come back in to be captain. The only players we lost were ones we weren't too bothered about, with the exception of first choice left back George Dow who was replaced by Celtic youngster Ray Robertson. Facilities wise we've made further improvements to our youth setup, although after our last intake, and we've put some of the cup run money towards facility upgrades. We're getting our first stand of seating installed back at Cathkin Park too . Finances are looking very, very good for obvious reasons. Player of the season went to Owen Monaghan, top goalscorer was Alex McFarlane who has been our top scorer for every full season he's been with us (had a blip with Greenock Morton last season and came back), while October signing Declan McManus was a huge boost. Plenty of rotation all round with the amount of games played; we're missing Ross Forbes and Kevin Cawley from the player stats due to their recent retirements to the backroom staff only. I don't know how the players and staff can afford to live on these kind of wages, but everyone has moved across to contracts between £100-250 p/w bar 3/4 players who are on over that! 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
