shaunvamos
2022 Youth Intake I'm actually pretty happy with this intake, 4 tagged players and perhaps more if my DoF recommends them.
shaunvamos
March 2022 Extremely inconsistent once more, but if we beat Omonoia in our last game we win the league. I'm not expecting to though, as form generally dictates we lose this one. Cyprus Just two friendlies, which we split.
shaunvamos
2021/22 End of Season Review Somehow we managed to win, and then on top of that we won the cup, picking up my first double We have a very young squad with plenty of potential, having phased the older players out, so I feel that the squad won't change much until we have the sufficient funds to buy better players. That will either be done by selling my players when offers come in, or by doing well in Europe. I'm hoping the latter. Kostas Ilia Valdemar Jensen - Vukasin Krstic - Milos Drincic Jimmy Mas Jacob Barrett Laursen Michel López - Filippo Ranocchia Juarez Slobodan Tedic - Diogo Cardoso
shaunvamos
European Coefficient Update It's all so close that there's plenty of fluctuation. Cyprus A poor start to the Nations League, but against this quality it's to be expected. Edited December 23, 2019 by shaunvamos
kidthekid
I told you, you'll bounce back. From looking at the squad, you were not joking when you said they were young. That could be why you struggled last season.

I think you're partly right, but I think the fact that I was busy phasing the older guys out coupled with the youth being brought in was the reason. Hopefully that's all sorted from now on though, having laid the foundation for the future.
shaunvamos
2022 Preseason Very good preseason including a big win against Maccabi Tel Aviv and against Greek side PAOK. We are one game away from qualifying for the Group Stage of the Champions League! Granted, we did get a pretty easy 2nd Round draw, and we got lucky in the shootout against Plzen, but we had that good win against Genk so we definitely have earned it. Transfers Out Sold a couple of the older players as they weren't contributing much, but the big story here is the sale of Lopez. He had one good season with us before a big team came knocking, and it just so happens one of the best teams in the world. I negotiated a loan back deal so he's with us until the end of next season and we get a 50% sell on clause too. In We had a very cheap transfer window, and besides Lopez most of these guys are just depth/development pieces. This is a very strong squad for our level I think. Season Preview Unsurprisingly, we are favourites.
shaunvamos
August 2022 Off to a good start in the league and we've qualified for the Champions League! We definitely did it the hard way, conceding two goals in stoppage time to only win on away goals. We get a tough group too, but we're just here for the money. Reaping the financial rewards Transfers Out I'm pretty disgusted with myself with this transfer. They came in with an offer half this but with a 50% sell on. I negotiated to a 5M upfront fee then rejected it, thinking they'd give up. So of course they responded with a fee matching the release clause, so we get the money but no other benefits. At least we still have Lopez to play in AM. In A wing back joins us.
shaunvamos
September 2022 Flawless domestically. I hope every game against Omonoia is as easy as this! As expected, we've lost every game. But they've been close. Cyprus Taking charge this early may have been an issue.
shaunvamos
October 2022 Besides that absurd loss a good month domestically. Expected results. Cyprus A good win against Austria, but the loss against Hungary relegates us.
shaunvamos
November 2022 Bundled out of the Champions League without a win, and a worrying flogging at the hands of AEL. But we are still going strong. Cyrpus Two good wins to end the international year.

PaulHartman71
Nice to see you recovered to win the title after the difficult second season, should make a nice bit of money off of that Champions League group too. Interested to see how far you can take the national team.
shaunvamos
January 2023 We begin the New Year where we left off, going undefeated and increasing our lead to 6 points. Transfers Out No one was brought in, and a whole bunch of loans out and a third choice old keeper was let go.

Hopefully we'll never be in money trouble again It's hard to say how far Cyprus will go, especially at the moment. Once these new youth players begin to come through will give me a bit more of an idea.

shaunvamos
March 2023 A bit of a sloppy start to the playoffs, but out lead was large enough that the win over Omonoia sealed the title for us. Cyprus We had 3 people sent off in the England game, but the draw against Gibraltar was inexcusable. Edited December 24, 2019 by shaunvamos

shaunvamos
Unplayable Coefficients Bosnia leapfrog us to reach the top of the list. They aren't even loaded! They haven't really done anything special to warrant such a leap either, so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts. For whatever reason Omonoia didn't appear on this, but they came 3rd in their Europa Conference group. Cyprus Good win against Latvia and kept it close with Greece. shaunvamos
Preseason 2023 An excellent run of friendlies, and as you can see there's a few new names. An unprecedented European run so far. Good wins against proven European sides, including a big victory against Maribor. That away win against Fenerbahce was the stuff dreams are made of, considering they had 7 clear cut chances to our 3. We go into the home leg with a small lead to protect, but with the knowledge that a 1 goal loss will all but guarantee a spot into the Group Stage for the second consecutive year. Transfers Out Unfortunately he didn't get much game time here, but we still made a profit. In Once again went a bit wild, but I think these are all good buys. I'm trying not to rely on loan players anymore, so the middle of the park was the aim to strengthen here. Season Preview Shorter odds this season. I don't think we'll have much trouble. shaunvamos
August 2023 A slow start in the league, but we've beaten Fenerbahce and been rewarded with a horrible group.
ryanlion28
Fun idea for a save, and APOEL is probably the best place to start, league probably sorted for the forseeable future so now time to focus on Europe
shaunvamos
September 2023 A solid month, but Lyon destroyed us in the Champions League. I think that'll be par for the course this year I'm afraid. Cyprus Goals galore for Cyprus, the draw against Gibraltar was a shame though. We also blew a 3-0 lead against Croatia in the last 10 minutes.

shaunvamos
December 2023 Virtually impenetrable domestically, and predictably out of the Champions League with a loss to Spurs. shaunvamos
January 2024 And of course, this is the time we decide to fall apart. We've now lost top spot Transfers Out Watford came in with a very good offer for our RWB, so I let him go with a 50% sell on fee. In Brought in Laplaud as a future replacement for Mas. Plenty of room for development as well!

shaunvamos
March 2024 Limassol really have our number in the playoffs, 4 of their 8 wins over us have come in that stage. Despite those slip ups, we are still in an excellent position and really shouldn't lose it from here, as long as we beat Omonoia in our next game. The 9-1 win over Ethnikos was fantastic too. Cyprus How I am not sacked for this is beyond me. Utterly disgraceful.
shaunvamos
2023/24 End of Season Review An ugly end, but we won the league. Nice little achievement. Bülent Yavaş was an absolute beast this season, at one point he was wanted by Arsenal, so we won't have him for much longer. shaunvamos
Back on top after a good year. Omonoia really setting the standard for Cypriot clubs in Europe. They're the best ranked Cypriot club in Europe, at 60th. We're next in 106th. He's already in the senior squad within 3 months of entering the game. He's going to be great. shaunvamos
2024 Preseason Very good preseason from the friendly point of view, with good wins against Gladbach and Crystal Palace. We didn't concede a goal until we went to Poland, and we head into the second leg of the playoff with ground to make up. I won't be too disappointed if we lose, as we would have a good chance at doing well in the Europa League. Transfers Out A whole lot of contracts running out, but it's good to see those guys are still in demand. Ojo was sold because Getafe met his release clause, and Bate was a backup making noises about leaving so off to Norwich he went. In Used the money from the Ojo deal plus extra finances saved up to reinvest in the transfer market. Lopez joins us permanently once more for half what we paid, due to a 50% sell on fee we had when I sold him to Arsenal (so 2.4M). Andreou comes to us for free as a backup up front and also to boost home grown requirements. Latsabidze is probably the best find here, right out of Georgia for a cheap fee as replacement for Ojo. Sorensen is designed to replace Bate, either now or in the future. Season Preview The usual expectations.

shaunvamos
August 2024 Strong start in the league and we won 8-7 on penalties in which 5 of our players missed from the spot. We are rewarded with this group: Unbelievable. Transfers Medina comes in from Mexico as a development piece in the hope he can rise to first choice WB should Bülent Yavaş be headhunted. shaunvamos
September 2024 We've been dominant in the league but lost the Super Cup. Kept things close against Monaco too. shaunvamos
October 2024 Omonoia bring us back to earth in the league, and we manage to pick up a result against Valencia. shaunvamos
November 2024 An excellent month in which we barely conceded, and even managed a win over Monaco! That win sets up an important final game: if we lose, we have to lose by less than Monaco, and that will mean (I'm pretty sure) we will go into the Europa League. Cyprus A strong finish to the Nations League.
shaunvamos
December 2024 We lost to Dortmund and Monaco beat Valencia, ending our slim chances at a 3rd place finish, and we've motored on in the league. shaunvamos
January 2025 Easy.
