Makoto Nakamura
Hello, hello and welcome, this is the 2nd time I've tried an England NT save and I'll be using the same premise as last time; Just because you're a big name it doesn't mean you'll be playing, I will be choosing the players on form alone and as long as they're in the national pool they'll have a chance, as long as they've played well enough. This could be and was interesting because in the previous attempt back on FM14 it led to some very interesting formations and an early prominence of an uncapped Harry Kane scoring 5 goals on his debut in a 9-3 victory over Ukraine. The previous version was inspired by Crouchaldinho's England saves located here:Fabio Crouchello - Taking England to South Africa 2010Roy Crouchson - Taking England to Poland & Ukraine 2012As well as my last attempt located here: Royoto Hodgamura - Taking England to Brazil 2014And this current attempt has been inspired by these threads:[FM16] Scotland: We have a dream, of not coming home too soon[FM15] Chasing the American Dream - USA's Quest for World Cup GloryFM16: Taking Oranje Back To Where They Belong And Further
Makoto Nakamura
The Beginning Loaded quite a range of leagues on view-only as well as loading all international players from across the world, I'm starting at Brazil's earliest date because as far as I'm aware this is the earliest point possible to start.I may be a retired 20 year old managing England, but I still managed to make 15 appearances and score 5 goals! And after 4 pre-played games, how are England doing in their qualifying group?Solid, but a draw away to Estonia?? Makoto Nakamura
With Premier League football not starting until August (the downside of starting at an early date) No players have played any games so I've left the selection up to the assistant so the squad will look pretty normal until August/September time. *apologies forameuss for using your squad view, but it's really rather nice!*

Makoto Nakamura
29th March 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersENGLAND vs SwitzerlandWembley, LondonWhat an amazing first game in charge of England with the only downside being their 82nd minute goal which could have easily been avoided and we went 2-0 up within 5 minutes! Harry Kane scored in the 11th second which was simply unbelievable!Elsewhere in the group there were goals galore in both games with Lithuania thrashing San Marino 6-0 to put them in 2nd and Slovenia sharing the points after an exciting 3-3 draw with Estonia. Makoto Nakamura
Some changes and Eric Dier & Saido Berahino being potential débutantes against Uruguay and/or Slovenia but not everyone was happy with my choice as 5 players came to me asking for assurances on their England future. Makoto Nakamura
10th June 2015International FriendlyENGLAND vs UruguayWembley, LondonNot as great a game as we'd had against Switzerland, but Uruguay have much better players. I changed formation at half-time to go to a wide 4-3-3 with Harry Kane being the lone striker, he paid me back with our goal 5 minutes after. We looked good for holding on until Mauricio Pereyra scored a wonder goal in the 84th minute to equalize.
Makoto Nakamura
14th June 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersSlovenia vs ENGLANDSportni Park Stožice, LjubljanaExcellent win even if the match stats don't exactly prove that. The game really was rather straightforward as Harry Kane scored his 3rd in 3 games and both Danny Welbeck and Saido Berahino came on in the 67th minute and got a goal and an assist each. We're beginning to draw ahead now as we have a 6 point advantage, the 2nd qualifying spot still has 4 of the 5 teams fighting for it though so it could be very exciting to see! Makoto Nakamura
Now things begin to get interesting, the English leagues have begun and that means I choose my own players. As you can see we have up to 10 débutantes and a couple of 'easy' games away to San Marino and then at home to Estonia.
Makoto Nakamura
5th September 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersSan Marino vs ENGLANDStadio Olimpico, San MarinoI'm amazed that we only won 3-0, even more-so that it was 1-0 until the 80th minute! We were absolutely all over them the entirety of the 90 minutes and the stats show this as well.A win is a win however and it keeps us 6 points clear, I would have loved to see Slovenia beat Switzerland though as that would have put 3 nations on 10 points and Estonia in 5th on 9 points! Makoto Nakamura
8th September 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersENGLAND vs EstoniaWembley, LondonI'm stupendously happy with a 4-0 win over Estonia, we played practically all of our 2nd XI with all of our 4 goalscorers scoring their first goal for England and of those 4 only Nathan Redmond and Carl Jenkinson have more than 1 cap. They both have 2 caps. Even more surprising was the fact that central defender Jake Cooper got on the score-sheet, he was the stand-out from the media as who they thought didn't deserve to be picked an Jake himself was surprised and nervous to be part of the set-up!A bore draw between Slovenia and Lithuania has basically secured Switzerland of 2nd place and we have now qualified for next year's European Championship! Makoto Nakamura
It looks like I'm going to be lining up a very defensive minded side in the next few games thanks to how players are getting their average ratings...this could be interesting! Makoto Nakamura
7th October 2015International FriendlyThe United States Virgin Islands vs ENGLANDLionel Roberts Park, Charlotte AmalieA decent game, we rightly dominated them and yet they still got a quite late goal with their one shot on target, also good to see James Ward-Prowse and Jonjo Shelvey getting their first international goals with Shelvey's being his usual goal from outside the box. Makoto Nakamura
11th October 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersENGLAND vs SloveniaWembley, LondonWith 20 minutes left we were looking nervy and outplayed even though we were winning 1-0, then the floodgates open and we score three times in the last 16 minutes to ensure another 'easy' win and another 3 points.Elsewhere in the group saw identical results for both Lithuania and Estonia with goals scored in the very first minute. This means that theoretically Lithuania can still qualify...if they beat us and Switzerland lose to Estonia.

Makoto Nakamura
Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I hope you all have a good day and got everything you wanted! 13th October 2015UEFA European Championship QualifiersLithuania vs ENGLANDLFF Stadionas, VilniusWe got a deserved 3 points but all in all it was a deeply boring game with next to nothing happening for an entire 90 minutes!!!Results were as they should be for the rest of the group with Switzerland beating Estonia 3-0 away from home and thus qualifying them for the European Championships and even with Slovenia winning 2-0 against San Marino, Lithuania finish in 3rd to join the play-offs for the Championships. Makoto Nakamura
That's the qualifying settled then as Austria, Serbia, Ireland and the Czech Republic become the last nations to qualify and here are the rest of the nations who are taking part:
Makoto Nakamura
The big day, the group reveal and in terms of worst possible draw by current rankings our group could be England, Portugal/Italy (equally difficult), Croatia and Wales as the rankings for these 4/5 are 6th, 5th/14th, 13th and 11th respectively. But who did we, and the rest of the nations draw?A "nice" draw by the numbers, but in actuality it is far from it. Ireland finished 3rd in their qualifying group with 16 points, 1 ahead of Scotland but 2 behind Poland who finished 2nd on 18 points (Germany topped their group with 30 points, 27 scored and 2 conceded) Turkey finished top of Group A on 27 points with their only loss coming as a simmed game where they lost 1-0 to the Netherlands who finished in 2nd on 25 points with the Czech Republic finishing a distant 3rd on 13 points. The blank nation yet to be drawn was Serbia.Usually I book easy friendlies but not this time, home games against Russia and Bosnia & Herzegovina means we don't have far to travel in order to be ready for the tournament and we go to France in the last game to face one of the best football academies in the world, INF Clairefontaine. Makoto Nakamura
2015 in ReviewA very easy year to be English as we won all but one of our games, but you could, should and probably would argue that we didn't exactly face and world-beating nations with the most difficult nation being against Uruguay...and we drew to them at Wembley. In rankings we've risen from 14th to 6th (or 5th out of European nations)Best XI:I don't completely agree with this as Charlie Austin is in the best xi after 2 appearances and 3 goals, yet Harry Kane has missed out completely despite scoring 8 goals this year!International Player Awards:Quite an odd World XI if you ask me!! Makoto Nakamura
Another 2 players can debut against Scotland in Ryan Seager and Adam Wilson. Makoto Nakamura
25th March 2016International FriendlyENGLAND vs ScotlandWembley, LondonDefinitely a game of two halves, an amazing first half where every goal was scored and then a very dull and boring second half where absolutely nothing happened but you can't argue with a 5-1 victory over Scotland!! Makoto Nakamura
No potential débutantes going to the European Championships but 9 players have under 5 caps to their name with Joe Hart being the most capped player in the side with 60 caps to his name. Makoto Nakamura
30th May 2016International FriendlyENGLAND vs RussiaWembley, LondonA friendly against a bigger nation, well technically the biggest nation in terms of area....but aaanyway, we managed a 2-0 win and it looks like I may need Sturridge to stay fit as he's scoring our goals and is the only big-name striker in this side! dllu
yet Harry Kane has missed out completely despite scoring 8 goals this year! And apparently he has missed out on the EURO as well! Makoto Nakamura
And apparently he has missed out on the EURO as well!Is he injured, or is your squad selection just getting too quirky for your own good...? Perhaps the 2nd one, although one thing I've noticed is that sometimes when looking at the national pool sometimes it misses players out and then they're back the next time I look, or the reverse happens.
