thierrysenal
In last season, we usually use a trequartista for creating false 9 tactics when we play 4-3-3/451 formation with a destroyer/passer/creator combination in midfield. in 2014 you know we have both false 9 & trequartista im just saying hows new role 'false 9' different from old one (trequartista)? etcetera
Just me speculating since I don't have the beta ATM. Treqs are the creative force in the team. The TC assigns the treq as the main playmaker in every tactic. False 9s don't have to be the main creative outlet in the team. Eg fabregas for Spain in euro 12, or maybe even kerzhakov as well? kazm
Also TQs roam more to the sides iirc.
Britrock
I dot have 14, but treq's have zero closing down. I'm assuming false 9's actually do some defensive work, a la messi.
kazm
Yeah thats probably true too, F9s required attributes include teamwork/workrate.

Domus Clamantium
I'm still struggling to work out what an enganche is and how to use one. All I know is Riquelme is probly the best one ever and I read its someone who holds up the ball in AMC to drag players out of position in order to play effective killer passes. kazm
Yep, an amc who doesn't make runs into the box like an AM-c and doesn't roam where he wants like a tq. You could see him as a really non-dynamic ap. Thats how i inagine him. So most amc's are better at other stuff because they have high attributes that aren't needed for an enganche. ham_aka_stam
Think of an Enganche as a lazy TQ. Not in the defensive sense, but in the sense that he won't roam around wide and drop deep so much looking for the ball, but will hover outside the area, pick the ball up and look to make play from a static position. Advanced Playmaker is like a half-way house between the two, and does defensive work too (especially in Support, which isn't available for the others). flere-imsaho
TQ: Above average attacking player who roams around pretty much anywhere looking for space where he can be dangerous, either with a pass, run or shot. Also fitted with an invisible hoop around his waist that keeps him from getting within 3 metres of any other player, and also a portable hole he can use to disappear from defenders. False 9: A good attacking player with a tendency and the skill to run well with the ball and make good passes or shots. Also believes the opposition goal is 20 metres closer to him than it really is, so a) he starts play from pretty deep and b) take a long of long shots (b is purely speculative, and probably wrong). Enganche: A TQ/False 9 fitted with a system that gives him an electric shock should he leave the "D" just outside of the opposition's penalty box.
