Didn't dafuge say that there will be a new official short term challenges thread for FM09? Hehe. There's a bunch of challenges I didn't try yet. And I always make new ones and post them here. Finished in the quarters - 15 points Utaka selected in the dream team - 20 points And the worst part is we completely battered the Germans and were beaten by a Ballack wonder-goal. Only managed to finish 9th: My results were: And proof that I won the prestegious Setanta Shield: So, i got: 18 points from away wins 11 points from home results 10 points for beating Grays 50 points for winning the shield TOTAL 89 points. qwerty52 Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Bayern Munich Challenge Results: Started quite poorly, which saw us go out of the UEFA cup straight away to Roma. After that though we went on a crazy run of form, winning around 9 in a row until we lost to Stuttgart away (one of those keeper errors where he miscontrols a backpass straight to the opposing striker's feet. and this occurred at 93:30 when there was only supposed to be 3 minutes added ), and then went on to win every remaining game i believe. This wasn't all required in the end though because Dortmund basically imploded towards the end. We went top after beating them at their place which was rather sweet, and the title was ours with 2 or 3 left to play. And we also won the cup in a final that we never deserved to win haha! Anyway here's the proof: Home Screen: Results: So as far as I can tell thats 80 points for me. Climbing slowly. . . Not too difficult with no competition I will admit that haha. Jarvo86 Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Ok - so had a go at the Sunderland challenge ... didn't end too well!! lol Game vs Reading - Drew 1-1 - should really have won this one, they had Bikey sent off in the first min ... yet I couldn't capitalise... Game vs West Ham - Drew 1-1 - on the backfoot for most of the game, lucky to get a point...and lost Kenwyne Jones for the final match!! Game vs Man Utd - Lost 1-0 - got a man sent off in the first half, was never really a way back into the match So, final table - Sunderland finish 19th and go down Final Table On to challenge 2 methinks! Game vs West Ham - this match was annoying. I thought I had won this a few times but West Ham kept coming back. Game vs Man Utd - I had no chance in this one. After you install that right click on the saved game and choose extract to.. Browse to the following location My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\games. Click ok.
