  1. I sold him to PSG for £65m after season 2 and I've regretted it ever since. Barbosa has been great though and I also had Zaza who was great
  2. Just put 12 past Crystal Palace in a league match We were already leading 6:0 when they went down to 10 men because of injury after 56 mins
  3. Girls of the World Cup!

Well if you think thats a fine dirndl you haven't seen anything yet.
  4. Girls of the World Cup!

wow. Any idea who that is?
  5. FM14: Should I buy or sell?

Buying/Selling: Buying Player Name: Jack Wilshere Your Team: Newcastle Buyer/Seller: Arsenal Player's Value: £17.75m Offer: £´63m Transfer/Wage Budget: 122m/1.79m p/w left Patch: 14.3 but started on 14.2 Season: Nov. of 2nd season, just had a tycoon takeover
  6. Ajax Half Season Review 2013/14 After reading this thread and Cleons thread in the tactics & training discussion part of the forum I decided to start a save with Ajax. Transfers My original plan was to only to buy the first three players and then play the season with the squad I had but then Monaco came in with a bid for Daley Blind which I accepted after a few rounds of negotiations. With Blind gone I felt a little light at the back so I brought in Rojo and de Bock for reasonable fees although Rojos agent still owns 45% iirc. The free transfers were just signed for tutoring the youngsters. Eredivisie The league campaign has been pretty straightforward so far. The only 2 losses came at home against Zwolle(1:0) and away to Utrecht(3:0) The Cups We beat AZ 1:0 in the Super Cup to win our first trophy of the season and we`re through to the quarters of the Dutch Cup by beating WKE(5:2), Telstar(3:0) and Zwolle(4:0). The Champions League however was a lot tougher as we finished third behind Juventus and Man Utd and ahead of Viktoria Plzen. So now we will face Basel in the Euro Cup. Players & Tactics Here is my preffered tactic with my first team. The players have been performing pretty well so far. Only Viktor Fischer has been performing below expectations. My best players at the moment are: Rodrigo Gomez with 5 goals and 18 assists in 23 appearances Kolbeinn Sigporsson with 16 goals and 3 assists in 13(2) appearances until he broke his leg and will now probably miss the rest of the season and Bojan with 12 goals and 5 assists in 12(9) appearances Future Transfers As I feel DM is the weakest part of my team I have arranged transfers for Oscar Lewicki, a 21 year old from Häcken for 230k and for Alexander Milosevic, a 21 year old from AIK for 350k. Thanks for reading.
  7. I have conceded this exact goal 5 times in 9 matches this season and I just don't know how to stop it. This is my setup for defending FKs: 4x Man 3x Wall(although that doesn't work from that far out) 2x far post and 1x near post I've also tried having 2 on go back and one forward instead of having them on the posts but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any help on stopping or reducing this would be appreciated.
  8. Paul Pogba: Home Grown?

Yes he is home grown. You can check in the player search. Just add the conditions name and home grown status. If the player shows up he is home grown
  9. Season review 2012/13 I decided to do one last save on FM13 and chose Arsenal for this as I wanted to manage Özil and I have been impressed by Giroud IRL lately. These were my signings http://imageshack.us/a/img208/6092/kk9w.png league The league was quite easy as we only lost 4 away matches against Chelsea, Sunderland, Southampton and Newcastle. We actually won 18 out of 19 home matches, an unlucky draw against Man Utd costing us our perfect home record. http://imageshack.us/a/img856/4337/8ds0.png champions league The champions league started of with a 10-1 aggregate win against portuguese side P. Ferreira. This led to a group with PSG, At. Madrid and Red Bull Salzburg. We won all 3 home matches and the match in Salzburg to top the group with 12 points ahead of PSG and Madrid with 11 apiece. Next up was Real Madrid. We beat them 2:0 at the Bernabeu before losing 2:1 at home. After this we once again met PSG. In the first leg at home we got a quick 2:0 lead within 10 minutes before Cabaye scored in the 53rd minute to make us a little nervous. However two goals in the 75th and 79th minutes once again gave us a nice lead only for Ibrahimovic get a second away goal with two minutes to go. The second leg was very nervy as we had been dominating but second half goals by Schneiderlin and Ibrahimovic gave PSG the lead on away goals. Then in the 81st minute Podolski missed a penalty but luckily scored from the rebound and Giroud scored another 5 minutes later to put us through safely. The semi final was pretty straightforward as we dominated Juventus and won 3:0 at home and drew 1:1 away in a rather dull match. This put us through to the final whoch you can see below. http://imageshack.us/a/img809/3139/6j19.png cups A decent run in the C1C but a disappointing year in the FA Cup. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/6/u2jx.png squad ratings A lot of brilliant performances by the players. Baines was fantastic as a Winger attack from the ML position with Giroud, Özil and Walcott building an impressive attacking triangle ahead of him. Mertesacker was also extremely dangerous whenever he got forward, scoring from corners, freekicks and even throw-ins. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/580/039d.png/
  10. Looking at his stats he's quick can dribble and finish. So it may be worth selecting him as a target man with run onto ball in the team instructions.
  11. FM13: Should I buy or sell thread

I'm looking for a Coloccini partner/replacement and would like him to be home grown. These are the two I've had offers accepted for, I've also tried Tomkins, Shawcross and Chalobah but they are all too expensive Buying: Player Name: Phil Jones Your Team: Newcastle Seller: Man Utd Player's Value: 8.75m Offer: 9.25m now + 7m over 24 months/63k wages Transfer/Wage Budget: 24.5m/137k Patch: latest Season: january of second season or Buying: Player Name: Steven Caulker Your Team: Newcastle Seller: Tottenham Player's Value: 4.6m Offer: 8.5m/40.5k wages Transfer/Wage Budget: 24.5m/137k Patch: latest Season: january of second season
  12. Just wanted to post the last match I played. Really enjoyed that and a real life repeat this month would be nice.
  13. Update End of season 5 We managed to finish 4th this season after a difficult start seeing us lose 6 matches until the end of the year. After that we only lost 1 more match and slowly caught up to the leading pack with a goalless draw against Tottenham ending our (realistic) title hopes. We did however end up with the best defence in the league. The domestic cups weren't too special with the youngsters reaching the 4th round of the C1C and the 6th roung of the FA Cup. The Champions League however was a very different story. After finishing second behind PSG in our group and a rather lucky away goal win after extra time against Juventus who are dominating italian football we really got going and quite easily beat Inter and CSKA. Then in the final we came up against Bayern who had been strengthened quite nicely by Pep. They now had Falcao, Insigne, Thiago, Danilo and a few decent newgens. With this in mind I decided to use our pace and hit them on the counter attack. It wasn't easy to watch but in the end two of our three shots on target went in to give us our first piece of silverware during my reign. stats Sissoko did really well this season, getting into double figures for both goals and assists. But really there wasn't anybody that didn't do well. Even Tiote with his relatively low average rating did his job very well, breaking up every opposition attack close to him.
  14. Not just for them. I was expecting quite a heavy loss so it was a pleasant surprise
  15. Just had this really weird match. I had already played against Man Utd in the league 3 days earlier (1:1) so a lot of my players were tired. I decided to rest them all and just let the back-ups and youngsters play. Then this happened
