Worldclass
I'm looking to buy a tall striker for my team, but I was wondering what is more important. The jumping stat or the players height?
postal postie
the jumping stat - i believe, is linked to the height stat. of course, you can get smaller players with better jumping stats than taller players, but in general the two are roughly linked. SWaRFeGa
Height is pretty much cosmetic. Just a number. I look for jumping, strength and heading stats.
Lawteo
I prefer Heading. My thoughts are: What's the use of being able to jump higher than anyone else if you can't head accurately?
MrPompey
I prefer Heading. My thoughts are: What's the use of being able to jump higher than anyone else if you can't head accurately? or maybe what is the point of being able to head the ball accurately if you can't jump

pigfacemonkeyman
Jumping, height is already included in this attribute. I vaguely remember reading that a taller player may have slight advantage only because he doesn't have to leap as high as a shorter player to reach the same ball. athos7
or maybe what is the point of being able to head the ball accurately if you can't jump Diving header if you're fast. Heading is definitely more important than jumping, because when tall defenders make mistakes by missing the ball or positioning themselves poorly, even a player of Messi-size can score with his head. He doesn't need to out-jump the defenders, he just needs to put the ball in the back of the net.
PAULHOLMES
to answer the original question, a player who is 5'6 with 15 jumping can outjump a player who is 6'8 with 14 jumping.
YAMS
Jumping is far more important than heading.
