Jazzfusion Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 Season 2 update League finish Chelsea ran away witht he league, but I am still happy with our finish as it was possible we would finish outside the top 4! Fortunately we bucked our ideas up and results went our way. Home form We still ahven't lost at St' James' Park under my management! Our away form is woeful though - we only collected 25 points all season. I've left it a bit late to post screenshots, I've now started a new season - sorry! I got to the semi-final against Juventus where we lost on away goals. Lost to Sprus in the 6th round of the FA cup, and didn't make much headway in the league cup. Transfers in/out Jiminez was a revelation, a wonderful player for his price. Kiebling was was disappointing and it was Martins who was banging in the goals again. He banged in the goals last year when we finished 3rd, getting over 25 in the league and is on course to do the same this season (im top and in febraary) but im wondering is it worth cashing in on him maybe in the pre season, getting a big price and not having to pay £100k a week. Because im thinking as he is getting on a bit his stats might start to drop soon,but i dont want to risk losing him and not finding a replacement who is as good any experiences of those in further seasons would be good. He is out on loan in the SPL atm, doesn't look gret for a 20 y/o... lets hope he's a late bloomer I'll post a SS when I get back from work. Looking to push on and win the bloody prem! Got 30m to spend with a massive amount of spare wage, but seem to be on the limit of not going into the red by seasons end. Not sure whats needed although squad does feel light. Hoping vela and balotelli will up the goal count this season, fernandez was top scorer. Any constructive criticism/suggestions welcome! Nzogbia normall come son for Piatti at Half time and stancu normally comes on For Owen. Martins is up with Stancu and are both my top scorers. Home page Won the Premiership with relative ease, and brushed Chelsea aside in the Champions League final 3-1. Screenies to follow... A domestic cup still eludes me, will try to capture one next season! Squad Guilherme was brilliant, his avg rating does not reflect this. Scores very very important goals! Transfers in/out I bought in a few players for the future! Premier league Finally captured it, and it was easy No one kept pace with us all season. Champions League final Glad to win it, made us alot of money also Had an epic 5-5 aggregate win in the semis over Man United. Hope to bring in a few players for the new season and win a domestic cup. EricCOYB Posted February 22, 2008 Share Posted February 22, 2008 well i've just won the quadruple with newcastle in my 3rd season and i've just signed bojan on a free transfer dont sell owen, never sell owen, scored 30 goals every season footballer of the year, won every trophy possible. i kept martins for the 1st season, then sold him for 25 million, and signed aguero best player to sign at the start: matias fernandez played 30, scored 14, assisted 18. bought him for 7.5 with a 50% next sale clause, not gonna sell him anyway just click on the counter attack button and youll win most games easy as pie. Newcastle defence LETS ALMOST ANYTHING IN. But there is anything about newcastle is that, they always score regardless of what. anyone have the same thing? My newcastle team always score alot in a game but conceded alot too.. still remember my unforgettable victory over arsenal 5-3 at emirates stadium ( AGG 8-6 , lost 3-2 at st james park ) lmao. Rafinha in at RB, Tawo in at LB, Wheater in as CB backup because Taylor left, Banega in and Barton out, and Gyan also in. 5th in the league so far after 6 games. Playing Man Utd in the FA cup final too. Got knocked out of the CL at quarters by barca on away goals. I think i need another top class striker to rotate with owen, fred and defoe cause owen is struggling a bit with inconsistancy, i might even offload if i get a good enough offer. Any suggestions who would play well alongside Fred as a main striker. I play a narrow diamond with fernandez behind the front 2, so lots of through balls I've got Saivet waiting in the wings but i'm going to give him another season on loan i think. Never played newcastle before and didn't know too much about him but he's a champ! first season he scored 20 goals, 15 of them in the league, and thats from his DC position. Second season just stared and he's scored 7 goals from 5 games. Bad defence, but check out my backup striker Michael Owen (Bought Pazzini and he has been immense, and only playing with one striker.) Any recommendations for strong defenders, a right winger and goal keeper and anyone else as i have nearly 30 million from winnings and selling players Cheers!
