[FM11][RELEASED] Galaxy Skin

Here's version 2.9 of my new FM2011 skin 'Galaxy'. This is a more polished version based on my 2010 Dominion skin. Its quite dark so may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it suits me

This is the final update and is now considered finished. I've spent the last few days fixing various minor quirks; Everything should be fine now for the full version of FM11.

Fixed a few changes in menubar.xml (courtesy of Mufckingud7)

Added dark advisor boxes

a few more tweaks

Installation:

Extract the galaxy folders and copy them to:

my documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2011/skins

good job, it looks sick

It's excellent, like Dominion that I use on FM10.

One other thing that I would like to see (on any skin..this is not an instruction!), would be to move the search bar from the top right and in its place put the competition logo, rather than just have it in the background.

Is the calendar bar still in this skin?

No pret, but i can easily do one with the calanderbar if need be

That'd be great for me thanks, I think that was a really good addition to FM10

I'm just finishing off a few tiny bits, hope to have v1 ready tonight or early tomorrow

If this skin had a calendar bar across the top i would use it.

Good job with the rest of the skin looks great.

EDIT. Also mate the bar across the top only lets you have so many on there for some reason. When adding others the ones at the end will dissapear.

great skin!!! only problem i found until now is in "board requesta"" and "player interactions", as the white font on grey background make it unreadable.

the background image is found in galaxy/graphics/backgrounds called default.jpg

Anybody else find the font similar to the early Championship Manger series?

why dont i have a continue button to press when usuing this skin, i also cant find the preference box

Could be the screen resolution you're using, i havent tried anything below 1152 in all honesty, i'll look into it.

Its ok ive managed to change it myself, i move the boxes folder out and replaced it with one i used in fm2010 works a treat alot lighter

Where do i go to change the text colour on the bews menu?

Is there any chance of a version using the default Back/Forward/Continue buttons in their default positions, with default calendar bar? I've tried playing around with it, but just can't get it working with my limited xml coding knowledge...

Very nice. FM11 demo is playable at last!

My only two minor complaints: I liked the color scheme of the Dominion skin much better. Not sure the green font fits well. But I guess that's why this is Galaxy and not Dominion 2 or something

Also, personally I prefer the continue button to be in the same location as it is on the default skin. When I'm not in a comfortable position to press space, it is much easier to just move the cursor to the top right corner than having to aim for a button. The same reason why I like how the tabs in Google Chrome are at the very top of the screen.

Nice skin. Can you change the white buttons for the unpicked player positions, above the team squad, to something darker?

As someone already pointed out, is the a way to change the background of the skin, as I use stadium backgrounds, It's a little to hard to see them.. If you explain I can rather do it myself, but on the other hand maybe you'd like to release a lighter version.. But not very much lighter.. readable, reasonable and playable...

Like i said a few posts up , i changed the boxes foilder with a lighter one used ib fm2010 and it worked a treat a nice skin and much lighter

But in this skin, there is no "Boxes" folder, as I can see...?

the images you need to edit are in galaxy/graphics/boxes/main, i filled them 60% black. I did state that this is quite a dark skin, as are all my skins

I really love the skin, the best one out yet.. and probably all togheter.. but my backgrounds are my precious

Look in My Documents/ Skins / Galaxy / Graphics folders......there you will see a folder called boxes, the only one i replaced was the folder called main

I appreciate your help, I managed to fix this now, especially thanks to Scotty's advice.. it's awsome now
