  1. Looks like you have some rotation and playing time choices to make. I would tend to play only squad players against Odd. All the others should get mixed squads based on fitness. This is because you must keep your eyes on the prize the Eliteserien Title!
  2. I think the outrageous salaries at Molde and Bodo/Glimt are because of the Board of directors. Reasoning: in my AS Trencin Save we have been to Europe three years in a row and this time, we didn't make the UECL proper. But between the transfer funds and the wages they were prepared to pay would use up all of the money in the bank. I think the AI see it as money to spend if it can find a decent player and the AI doesn't think beyond the moment.
  3. Good work in Chile. After playing there any other nation or team in the Andes will pale in comparison.
  4. I give them games in the league against the relegation fodder and watch what I promise in contract negotiations. I also lessen expectation using the "happiness" button/screen to lessen playing time expectations if necessary. Generally, everyone gets at least 15 starts (between UECL and League) and at least 25 appearances which keeps most players happy if they have squad contracts. It is important to play "Star or important players" in as many games as possible even coming off the bench. (I try to have never more than two Stars and three important players not counting the GK.) Because there are only 5 substitutes allowed. So those players are ALWAYS in the team unless injured. (even if coming off the bench)
  5. Top teams seem to be doing well. You need to build up depth so you can play your Second Side in the League and get results while you are still in Champions League play. That is what I am doing in my current save with AS Trencin. Playing the Starting XI in the preliminary games of the UECL to makes sure we get to the competition proper and the payday and playing the Squad Players in the League that starts in July in Slovakia. Once I make the UECL proper I play the Second XI in the competition and the Starting XI in the League. This is because making Europe through the league is important as we build and plot our way to overthrow Slovan Bratislava's dominance.
  6. Good showing in your match against Arsenal in Champion's League. You did what you had to do in the Norwegian League, you won. Keep doing that and the title will be yours.......if you can keep it up!
  7. Happy to see you back on the forum. I don't usually have the patience or the technical knowledge (database updates) to do a San Marino save.
  8. Happy to see this still being updated! I was getting worried that this was going to end on a cliff hanger after the past few days. KUTGW!
  9. Doing well so far. AI Emery left a good team for his successor and the AI didn't "blow it up" during the transfer window is my guess. The difference in the table is your 6-point loss to them.
  10. Isn't 25k fans bigger than the population of Guernsey. Getting to the match is going to be a problem for the fans,,,,I think!
  11. Being Midtable in the Premier League with a youth development team from the Channel Islands is quite the achievement.
  12. I always ask for Squad use and hope the player works his way into regular/important playing time while on loan. Sometimes the clubs that want to loan the player offer better playing time also and I always agree to those deals. Like I said.....your going to have to eat the wages.....
  13. As a league champion that is getting some European Money. You have to eat the wages for loanees. Just make sure they are on low wages and short contracts in case they don't workout. In my current save (Slovakia, AS Trencin) almost all the players I loan out are on their first professional contract. That is because I don't have a B-Team/U-21's, but only a U-19's team. I usually foot most of the bill for the loanees and I have no where near the money that Viking does and I just got European Football (Europa League Playoffs, $107k for winning the first round plus gate receipts). Yes, I still play FM even though I am not writing about it.....it makes watching Man City lose much more fun!
  14. Great Season even if you don't win Serie A. Scamacca went back to being an AF for you and is doing well? Maybe your support (playmakers) needed to learn the system to supply him.
