Although I wouldn't say I'm underachieving, I'm not successful like most of you lot either. I sit in midtable, occasionally in the top 5. I get knocked out of cups in the earlier rounds, and I can never seem to find a really good transfer. I usually end up paying too much money for a player of similar calibre to those already in my squad. I can't remember winning anything, except for the Championship one year. Season after season, year after year. England, Germany, France or Scotland, it's the same story. I don't know why I'm still playing.

My game (in matches) is very stuttering and laggy when playing with low settings. What's weird is that the game runs butter smooth if I select higher graphical settings, but then my laptop heats up like crazy and I don't really want to play that way. Is this a common issue? Does anyone have tips on how to improve the performance on low settings?

It's been a few days now, and I can't shake the disappointment with the decision to make the game a Netflix exclusive. Diminishing sales and all that, I get the business side of things, but it seems odd they could not have the game available for normal purchase with a 50% markup or something. It's a good game, I would actually be willing to pay a bit more than last year, but I have zero interest in Netflix and the subscription fee is too much to shell out for a game. Somehow I doubt SI will get a lot more regular users/players from this Netflix deal too. This game is really niche, I don't think a lot of casual gamers will download and immerse in a career. I wouldn't be surprised if the mobile game is cancelled for '25, which would be a shame. It's a fine little game, the dev team has done some great work.

Wow, seems SI really don't want me as a customer. First they ruined FMT for pc (the current version is not the same), so I stopped buying that. And now they're tying FMM to Netflix, of all things. I don't have Netflix, I have no interest in Netflix, and, yep, Miles is right, I'm not paying £60 for a mobile game.

Ages ago in an older version of FM, I found a regen named Maradona. Not Diego, but still. Maradona! Of course I had to sign him. I made him a permanent starter. Maradona! I kept him for his entire career, and although he didn't quite live up to his legendary name, he did win the Champions League. Yay!

So, Google just launched a beta version of their service "Google Play Games" "Take mobile gaming to your PC. Explore and play mobile games on PC with Google Play Games beta." https://play.google.com/googleplaygames I downloaded the app, but could not see FMM as a supported game. I can't imagine any game being better suited than FMM, and a similar game from another developer was there...wink wink cough cough I have no clue what it takes for a game to be supported, but I hope you will do some investigation down this path, SI dev team

I don't have any hard statistics to back this up, but is the penalty conversion rate a bit too low? I don't see that many penalties overall, neither for my team nor the opposition, but so many penalties are saved by the GK's. Anyone else having the same feeling?

Easier said than done! Malaga is an interesting challenge. The first team squad is full of players aged 33+ with less than ideal personalities. Nobody wants to buy them, and I don't have a ton of money to release them and buy replacements. 🙂 Think this is going to be a long haul, letting the old guys' contracts run out and bringing in younger replacements for cheap.

I don't think he would refuse to come on? I didn't try it, I was surprised to see that message and chose another player. Didn't want to risk the game by bringing on someone who didn't care at all. I'm surprised a 19 year old doesn't want to be part of a winning team in a fairly competitive league (Spanish 2 div). Can professionalism change with training and overall good team performances?

We were 2-0 up, I was looking to bring on a sub to rest some legs and give another player some game time. Then I noticed he wasn't really interested in coming on! Why is this? Can I do anything about it? I have the least professional squad ever. Grade F. I'm looking to replace this lot, but it takes time to find new recruits so I have to make do with what I have for now.
