tigerhgrrrrrr
It seems to me that whatever you "earn" as manager comes off the bottom line wage budget, so where is my insentive not to take the min wage possible - or will my reputation suffer. In L1 £1600 per week would go a long way with squad strengthening.
George_Spurs
Yes I guess so... managers wages mean f all really.
neilez2
I like immersing myself and thinking of how I'd spend my massive salary when a Premiership club comes calling. 'Drift off into a multi million pound daydream...'
Burscoughnian
I want to stop earning at my club. I'm at H&W Welders (I think they're called...only started last night!) in N. Ireland and I'm "wasting" £150 a week of money! This is a massive amount that I need to spend on players' wages. Wish I could accept a pay cut. SI Staff Riz Remes Posted December 17, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted December 17, 2008 All managers in the game are being paid. I don't think the human manager should be an exemption just because he wishes to have an extra boost to his club finances. As we don't simulate the living costs etc. of managers, then it is just fair that the human managers are at least being paid the minimum the club is willing to offer even if the human manager playing the game would want to work for free. CaptainPlanet
Your reputation is largely goverened by how much you earn. The more you earn the more likely you are to gain interest from bigger clubs.
Micado
I have tried this this, negotiate my contract to 0 Euro per month, but the board rejected and came back with the initial offer. So I don't think it can be done, which is a good thing.
Yasko75
Your reputation is largely goverened by how much you earn. The more you earn the more likely you are to gain interest from bigger clubs. Are you sure? I have started career games when i start from bottom in previous versions, i never saw a relations where wages influences your reputation. The opposite is however true. But we do need the wage influence relation. So that if you take too low wages your reputations will get damaged and if you be able to get too high wages it inluences your reputation positivly IMO. cornwallgunner
I suppose career earnings might be another factor to judge yourself against. I always ask for a decent wage, if I do well then I ask for a lot more than the original offer. First season with Nancy, on £3k a week finished second and made cup semi and UEFA cup quarters. They offered £3.4k (2 years) and I asked for £5k (5 years), they came back with £4.2k (2 years) which I took.
R-dizzle
Would be good if the wages you earn in the game could go towards unlocks and such. By that I mean new skins and things like that, nothing that would give you an advantage or anything just something which could be bought after you earn £1m for example. Celtic_1967
wages/salaries also reflect your job stability. For example if you are on a long contract with high wages (in relative terms to the clubs finances) then the club would be much less likely to sack you.
