Rooney getting 0.1 rating?

Situation: Community Shield Man Utd (me) vs Portsmouth

Without going into details of the match, I find that Rooney's rating is miss at the end of the match.

When I'm in his "form" page, I notice that it was a 0.1 rating.

Strange here, isn't it? He's my starting XI and not injured so he should be given a rating.

Although he's not up to his standard IMO, his performance isn't that bad.

Has anyone come across the same situation?

Is there something wrong with the rating system?

I would suggest heading over to the Bugs forum

pkm (in match screen click the Save button which will save the match in your Sports Interactive/Football manager 2009/matches folder) and save game before the match if possible in case it is consistently reproducible would help.

EDIT: Is there some trick to getting more money off the Man Utd board? How did you sign 6 players?

Wondering that myself. Expect a those players to cost quite a bit more than 20 odd million you can get. Guessing though he sold players.

Not really a trick but I asked for more wage budget and switched it into transfer budget, so I got about 60M to spend. Here's the transfer history not long after the end of transfer window. I still have a remaining budget of 24.4M.
