Jongi
I remember this being done for one of the previous tournaments. I may have even started one previously. Would you make money if you bet on the favoured result for each match? I’ll assume a notional £10 bet on each match. I’ll try and get bet365.com odds at 12pm each day for that day’s matches. Calendar reminded put in phone. Hopefully I won’t fade. So we kick off with: Poland v Greece – (1:2.00 X:3.20 2:4.33) Russia v Czech republic – (1:2.40 X:3.10 2:3.25) TIE RESULTS Tie 1 : Loss Tie 2: Win CUMULATIVE RESULT Profit : £4 Wager : £20 Effective Odds : 1.
Jongi
So today we had Holland v Denmark - (1:1.75 2:3.40 3:5.00) Germany v Portugal - (1:2.20 2:3.30 3:3.50) TIE RESULTS Tie 1 : Loss Tie 2 : Win CUMULATIVE RESULT Profit : £6 Wager : £40 Effective Odds : 1.
Razzler
Cool. I am sure there was a guy in Holland that bet on Ajax all season, not sure if he won by the end of it though with short odds and that vs occasional matches not winning
Jongi
That's interesting. I would also imagine the short odds kill you when you don't get the win. In fact given the draw factor that's not a great strategy.
Razzler
This must have been a good 4 or 5 years back but I think it was fairly well known, perhaps some Dutch remember it
blueglobefootball123
An old mate of mine used to bet big everyweek on rangers and Celtic to win their weekly matches (this was probably about 8 or so years ago). Reckoned he used to be win a fair bit over the course of the season ( so he told is anyways)

Jongi
As it turns out, after the first game of each day day, the strategy has been loss making. it seems the later kick-off is the best so far for the favoured result. so far the team listed first by bet365 (except for Croatia) has been favoured to win. And for each of the first games of the day, that team has not won. Thus far bet365 lists France v England (1:2.40 2:3.10 3:3.25 a draw at least on the cards for England
Jongi
Day 4 France v England - (1:2.50 2:3.00 3:3.25) Ukraine v Sweden - (1:2.625 2:3.25 3:2.80) TIE RESULTS Tie 1 : Loss Tie 2 : Win CUMULATIVE RESULT Profit : £13.25 Wager : £80 Effective Odds : 1.17 Pattern repeated where Tie 1 is a loss and Tie 2 wins helping England to the draw mentioned above. When will the trend turn?
