Bezzler
Is there anyway to get your forwards to close down the oppositions goalkeeper, as in previous additions of the game you have been unable to
Carbs
set one of your strikers to mark the keeper and high closing down and then set the team to high closing down
Nobby_McDonald
Why should you have to set the whole team to high closing down when you just want one or both of your strikers to close down the keeper?
Bigshow1
Look in the opposition instructions screen and click on their keeper. I always select 'Always' for closing down and 'weeker foot' for added pressure.
Kain
Doesn't actually seem to do anything though. I always set the opposition keeper to be closed down and I've not once seen one of my players do it in 6 seasons.
Bezzler
I have tried all of the above and no luck. I did put this in the bugs section before the full game was released but yet again it seems SI take no notice real shame
pigfacemonkeyman
I set my strikers to Closing Down=Centre Notch (player instructions), Closing Down=Always (GK opposition instructions) and they close down the keeper most of the time (FM10) although without the urgency seen in real life. Some strikers may lack the necessary attributes to carry out these instructions e.g.Workrate, Determination, Stamina, Decisions etc, but until there are more options, such as closing down in specific areas of the pitch, (e.g. Final Third) I don't think closing down GKs will be very realistic. Libertine82
It really is frustrating not being able to close down the keeper, especially when there composure and first touch are low, it feels like im missing out on a way to create problems for the opposition. In real life strikers like Carroll always close down gk's so it is a pretty reasonable request to ask them to do it in the game i think.
