CrD
I have done my first one, Yeah I know he isn't exactly world class but still he is the sort of player that would suit on Pay as you Play. Anyone else had success with getting players to sign these type of deals are ain't you bothered in trying?
rancer890
I'm curious how you negotiated this type of contract? I never bothered to try something like this.
CrD
I'm curious how you negotiated this type of contract? I never bothered to try something like this. Agent fees and signing on, technically he's on £1p/w but that don't show up. He has a one year automatic extension too after 20 league games.
AcidBurn
How much were the signing on and agent fees? Who are you playing as?
CrD
Newcastle united and both was £1.2m a bit much I know but I had to try to see if it was possible
AcidBurn
That's way too much in my opinion but it is good to see these sort of deals are possible.
CrD
Yeah I know it is, I would never offer that much normally but I thought I would go over the odds to see if the deal would go through and it did. Hopefully it might be easier to achieve this kind of deal on FM 2012.
AcidBurn
Pity the game doesn't make this deal more possible with injury prone players.
The Welsh Lad
It kind of evens its self out I you offered him a wage he'd have what say £20,000 pw works out about £7 or £8 million season
pigfacemonkeyman
Pity the game doesn't make this deal more possible with injury prone players. It won't be needed if one of the new features is a Magician's Parlour where for 20 stepovers you can buy a magic sponge that protects against injury for 6 months. Cole
It won't be needed if one of the new features is a Magician's Parlour where for 20 stepovers you can buy a magic sponge that protects against injury for 6 months. Is this confirmed???
Lem
Hard to tell if it was worth it without knowing what wages he wanted, but interesting, may try it with fab.
OJDD
hm, paying 2.4M pounds just to get such a contract (for just one year) doesn't really make sense, does it?
Robert the Spud
I will try it with Ledley King at the end of season, though he may just refuse.
The Welsh Lad
I just bought Rene Adler so my ageing Brad Friedel isn't going to get many games, so I trying offering him a pay-as-you-play contract, it was no good told blanked me now looks like he is going on a free next year
USA Bhoy
Was curious if this would work for Owen Hargreaves as well. I can't afford him at Celtic on his current 70K a week deal and was curious if pay for play contracts were available
