Matt ex SEGA
Chaps, are your machines above the minimum spec? If so - try the below; - Update Graphics Card drivers. - Update Java. - Update DirectX. See where that gets you. If you're below minimum spec I'm not sure what to suggest. Fiend
Same here. Played FM10 just fine, even if, I remember, the same error appeared with FM10, but it worked out well, just updating graphics card/DirectX SDK. Already done that with the FM11 Demo, and still the same error.

Administrators Neil Brock Posted October 21, 2010 Administrators Share Posted October 21, 2010 I'd suggest sending your dxdiag (details on how to get that here - http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/230210-Football-Manager-2011-Demo-FAQ?p=6001742&viewfull=1#post6001742) to me at neil.brock[at]sigames.com and I'll take a look. Coop
Same problem. Tried downloading the file mentioned in the FAQ at the top of the page. No luck. FM10 worked. The demo this year does not. Hopefully this thread gets updated.
themoffster
I've had to resort to going round to the parents house and liberating the old laptop so i can play... :/
Fiend
Bah, tried everything, still the same, gave up. Wait until the full game is released, with some luck I would be able to play (as I played all the previous in 2D).
Administrators Neil Brock Posted October 21, 2010 Administrators Share Posted October 21, 2010 The majority of graphics cards from users I've received so far are below the minimum specs to run the game. For all of you I suggest making sure your DirectX is up to date, that your graphics card drivers are updated to their very latest versions for you to have any chance of running the game with an under-spec card. We'll look into this to see if there is an underlying issue here - and yes, I'm aware that some of the cards in question ran FM10 okay, but there have been changes for FM11 which may make this no longer the case. Cheers.
