Appealing against match bans ??????

Has anyone ever appealed against a players match ban and won ? Every time I do it I get a message saying '' You did not have valid ground for your appeal and the ban is uphended '' Then sometimes they extend the ban because I appealed what is the point in letting you appeal if you can nver win ?

As with real life, successful appeals are rare but do happen if you get the right messages at the game end and in the match commentary. Appealing against every ban is pointless, wastes everybody's time and you get a bad reputation so pick your appeals very carefully and you may win one yet.

I generally only appeal if in the post match commentary I get a message along the lines of "Mr Brown could be heavily criticised for his performance in refereeing today's match, favouring the visitors on a number of occasions", and when the ref is given a rating of 2 or something on that match. In my opinion, that is the only time when you should even consider appealing.

What gets me is that you have to decide whether to appeal or not before you get the message saying how harsh/justified the sending off was.

I never appeal. Mainly because you hardly ever win one and I can't be bothered to get told of bu the FA for it.

I have never appealed against a ban and been successful. So I have just stopped appealing.

i have won an appeal once, it was a shock. it was for dangerous play (elbow) if that is any help

I've only ever won one that I can remember, my assistant manager recommended that I should appeal as he felt the referee had got the decision wrong, and it worked. I only appeal against controversial sending-offs.

@Vell1980 cheers for that I play that many games I don't always check the match rating of the ref as such but thats a top tip and I will defo look out for that more in the future

i have appealed a few times, mainly unsuccessful but i dont tend to unless i feel its really the thing to do
