I want to build something like Fergie

Recommended Posts

So yeah, I want to build something like Fergie being at one club for loads of seasons and winning thropies with them but I don't know what team to pick I've always been a Real Madrid supporter (am from Espana) but if ill play with them i would probably sell ronaldo and drenthe dont like them, does anyone know what kind of team I should use? I was thinking about City or Everton but im not really interested in the english league.

City would be a great team to do this with. The Walkers Stadium is a good stadium and the training facilities are good. Milan Mandaric is tight with his money in game though.

I apologise if you mean one of the numerous other teams called City in the English leagues.

If you want to be like Fergie, you just need this. Seriously though, i'd go with Valencia if you prefer Spain or even something harder like Bilbao. Or you could try building a team up from the bottom, if you were to do this in England, I would recommend Notts County as they seem to have quite a bit of money and an okay ground to start with.

Can't really go for Athletic as they don't sign players from outside the region, that would ruin the tradition. ;)

On every FM I have a plan to manage Nottingham Forest and restore the glory days of the 70's but I never have the patience. I'm a sucker for big name signings and high transfer fees :(:D

Borussia Dortmund is in a similar situation in which Man Utd was before Fergie took them over. You could restore the generation of Kohler, Sammer, Moller, Riedle etc.

Tottenham would be a good shout, not just cos i support them, but cos they have a great youth set up and decent players already there, you get about £16 million (not sure what that is into euro's) at the start of the game for spending and if used wisely you can really spread that £16 million and get a very good side, then to look at the younger generation there where there are 3 very good midfielders coming through the ranks which you could build on and create your 2nd team after the current team as been and gone.

If you click on his profile and "statistics" you'll find lots of threads that'll give you ideas. Avoid those posted in the Off Topic Forum though, as they're usually a load of old rubbish :D

Sorry Nep :(
