Lower Leagues Rule
The Outcasts League The world of football has always been dominated by clubs from the biggest nations in the world. A group of smaller nations had become fed-up with this state of affairs, a consortium then approached Desmond Tiny, former AD Fafe Manager and champion of the little guy, to come up with an idea that would give them a chance. His suggestion was that each nation build themselves a club and he would run an international quality league for them to challenge in. His next job was to get FIFA and UEFA onboard, FIFA agreed completely with the idea and were very supportive, while UEFA agreed to give the clubs entry into European club competitions following the end of their first season. Des then went back to the nations and they agreed to his ideas, he then provided each of them with £50 million to get their clubs up and running. Some of the chairmen spent this on facilities, some spent it on their star players and others on building a reputation with their fans. After each of the clubs submitted their applications he seperated them into a two-tier league system. The clubs from larger nations gained Premier League status while the rest were put into Division One. So it was decided that every player in the squad would have to be from within the clubs nation, they would be allowed four players from outside. These would include a single Marquee player selected through an auction, this player would be given honourary Outcast status for his seasons in the club. Each club would also be able to select three previously uncapped players for their team, these would be chosen through an American style draft. They would then be given honorary home nationality so as to be available for their new nation. The only other rule on top of this would be that every starting XI must have an Under-20 player in the squad, this was to encourage the building of a youth system. From the second season onwards clubs will be allowed to bring in up to 4 foreigners, and up to three of these will be allowed in each match squad. Lower Leagues Rule
Meeting the Clubs Premier League I have put these together to give a brief run down of what my updates are likely to look like, as I complete parts of the database and load it up tomorrow afternoon I shall update the bits that are incomplete right now. Hope you all like them. Nation: Kazakhstan City: Astana Chairman: ManuCelt Manager: Ryan McGahon Stadium: Astana National Stadium (Cap: 25000) Prediction: 10th Squad Youth Marquee: Matias Fernandez (22,AMC) Draftees: 1. Guillaume Hoarau (24,ST) 2. Marek Suchy (20,DC) 3. Robert Lewandowski (19,ST) Best CA: Nurbol Jumaskaliev (27),(Sen),(AM/FC) Best PA: Askar Khasenov (16),(Yth),(ST) Player to Watch: Alexey Shakin (23,AMC): He will be hoping to get a moment to shake his thing alongside Matias in the attacking slot. Definitely a player for the future of Kazakhstan. He is set to shake the world apart, keep an eye on him. Club Description: Astana United were one of the later entrants into this league, coming along and joining in with a ferocity. The club looks like they may be able to mount a challenge at a title, but a mid-table finish looks more likely. With a strong focus on Youth and Training this club is definitely one to watch out for in the future seasons. For now just sit back and hope they don't get relegated. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: New Zealand City: Auckland Chairman: Ventresto Manager: Jasper Tanglewood Stadium: Sky Tower Park (Cap: 22000) Prediction: 7th Squad Youth Best CA: Glen Moss (25),(Sen),(GK) Best PA: Dave Wilson (16),(Yth),(MC) Player to Watch: Cameron Richardson (19,ST): This guy had to be included, without a doubt the 19 year old will reach his potential, with a CA of 30 and a PA of 33 he is going to be an interesting watch. My question is whether he will make a difference, or will he just be brushed aside? Club Description: Auckland Maori are based in the largest city in New Zealand, the club will have a problem with fans as they will be loved within their own city, but hated by everyone south of the Bombay Hills. Having concentrated on the star players they could bring together and a large transfer budget Auckland are hoping to bring in some stars from outside the club. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Azerbaijan City: Baku Chairman: Hursty2 Manager: Sheikh Gazelle Stadium: The Bats Cave (Cap: 25000) Prediction: 13th Squad Youth Marquee: Giuseppe Rossi (21,AMC/FC) Draftees: 1. John Fleck (16,AMRLC/FC) 2. Reynaldo (18,AM/FC) 3. Timothy Derijck (21,DRC) Best CA: Branimir Subasic (26),(Sen),(AMRL/FC) Best PA: Mübariz Äläkbärov (16),(Yth),(MC) Player to Watch: Marcos Ferreira (26,ST): Whatever sort of player would choose Azerbaijan over his native Brazil really has to be looked into further. Marcos Ferreira is not a bad player, and probably could've made the Brazilian bench, but he has chosen to play for his new homeland of Azerbaijan. Keep an eye on this guy. Club Description: The Baku Bats are looking to put the former Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan on the map. Not expected to compete immediately, they have also gone down the young players route, hoping to bring in some very youthful stars from all over their nation and train them to be stars in the future. Should be a club to be reckoned with in about 2020. This first season I would be looking for a safe mid table finish. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Liechtenstein City: Balzers Chairman: Joetheref Manager: Joe Tompkins Stadium: Muddy Field (Cap: 30000) Prediction: 14th Squad Youth Marquee: Francisco Guillermo (22,GK) - (Shares my Birthday, just wrong year) Draftees: 1. Cicero (24,MLC) 2. Gonzalo Bergessio (23,FC) 3. Asmir Begovic (21,GK) Best CA: Mario Frick (33),(Sen),(AMLC/FC) Best PA: Sergio Gaubert (16),(Yth),(MR) Player to Watch: The Becks - Roger (MC) & Thomas (AM/FC): These two look like they could work good together, and its always good to see a pair with the same name passing to each other; "And its Beck to Beck, and back to Beck, and he slots it home, its an all BECK GOAL!" At 24 and 27 they have a few years left and should help the Badgers out. Club Description: The Balzers Badgers have decided to bring Liechtenstein out of the shadow of Switzerland and give themselves their own chance at leading the way. With the largest stadium of the teams so far they will be hoping their fans show up, they have spent very highly on facilities as well, should be an interesting side, but look for them to battle against relegation. Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Montenegro City: Podgorica Chairman: Dave. Manager: Danijel Bojan Stadium: Stadion Pod Galicom (Cap: 18000) Prediction: 5th Squad Youth Draftees: 1. Keirrison de Souza Carneiro (20,ST) 2. Pedro Leon (21,AMRC) 3. Roberto Santamaria (23,GK) Best CA/PA: Mirko Vucinic (24),(Sen),(AML/FC) 2nd Best PA: Vladan Kecman (15),(Yth),(DR) Player to Watch: Dusan Ilic (16,MC): He may not be the next biggest star for Montenegro, but the Emo kid will not go down in flames, with his hair swept aside from his eyes he will make sure that the rest of the players hear his pain. Watch out for him causing grief if they lose. Club Description: Blue Star of Montenegro have some very big name stars before they even start, look for them to be title contenders from day one. With a reputation to match their star players, and a youth academy with some quality I would watch out for them. The former Yugoslavian team should be one to watch. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: India City: New Delhi Chairman: Scottish Gooner Manager: James Colt Stadium: The Tiger Claw (Cap: 10000) Prediction: 12th Squad Youth Marquee: Mauricio (21,AMFC) Draftees: 1. Javi Garcia (21,DM) 2. Dario Ventucci (21,DM) 3. Geoffrey Jourdren (22,GK) Best CA: Sunil Chetri (23),(Sen),(ST) Best PA: Siddharth Gonsalves (16),(Yth),(MR) Player to Watch: Climax Lawrence (29,MC): He may be old, he may be injured, but the Climax of the Delhi Tigers season comes in the form of Mister Lawrence. The Tigers of the sub-continent are sitting here hoping he comes back soon. One of several central midfielders in this squad he may fight to get his spot back, but no one can deny the veteran midfielder a chance. I hope it is not an Anti-climax. Club Description: India is not known as a hot bed for Football in the world, but given the money flowing in the nation, the sheer numbers of people surely they can climb from the depths of World Football and compete at the top level. Watch out for the Dehli Tigers to sneak in and show the world what one of the most populous nations in the world can do. Having a large amount of money left for players they have to spend it wisely and hope that their lack of facilities does not hinder them down the track. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Iceland City: Reykjavik Chairman: James-99 Manager: Sergio Almerio Stadium: Volcanic Arena (Cap: 30000) Prediction: 2nd Squad Youth Marquee: Victor Valdes (26,GK) Draftees: 1. Loic Nestor (19,DLC) 2. Leo Schwechlen (19,DLC) 3. Daniel Fox (22,DL) Best CA: Eidar Gudjohnsen (29),(Sen),(AMFC) Best PA: Haukur Ingi Jonsson (15),(Yth),(ML) Player to Watch: Ferdinand Hauge (15,GK): The only Eskimo player whose name does not end with son or sen, clearly has to be a man to watch, can he become better than Valdes and can he possibly make a difference in a side full of sons? Club Description: The Eskimos are based in the capital of iceland, they would have to be one of the picks for 2008/09, they should be challenging for Europe come the end of the season. Pit them against the team from Montenegro and it will be a battle for the ages. The team has a huge reputation in their native land, and they look to spread that across the world while spreading the rest of their money around. They may not have the best facilities, but they don't have the worst either. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: North Korea City: Pyongyang Chairman: Darren HR Manager: Kim Jong-il Stadium: Korean Worker's Party Stadium (Cap: 50000) Prediction: 6th Squad Youth Best CA: Kim Yong-Jun (24),(Sen),(MC) Best PA: Jang Ka Kei (16),(Yth),(MC) Player to Watch: Park Dongqi (ST): Well should just be a guy to watch, go the surprise of North Korea. Club Description: Kim Jong-il is a very patriotic man and he has always been this way. He is going to lead this team from the front and if a single player steps out of line he will be in deep trouble. With their name always blasted across the loud speakers and the public forced to support them, they should sell out every game in their large stadium, but with poor facilities they may struggle to compete. Jong-il was heard to say, "Why do we need training facilities? I can train them in a mud paddock, or on the battle field, if they don't perform out they go." Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Hong Kong City: Hong Kong Chairman: William Hall Manager: Jackie Chan Stadium: Hong Kong Stadium (Cap: 40000) Prediction: 11th Squad Youth Best CA: Chin Hung So (14),(Yth),(ST) Best PA: Nicky Morrison (15),(Yth),(GK) Player to Watch: Chao Pengfei (20,AMRL/ST): On loan at Happy Valley, he is hoping to improve enough to make it in to the top squad on his return. Club Description: Hong Kong has been a constant thorn in the side of China, now the club is going to try and show why they are the world beaters and not their large neighbours. Jackie Chan is going to lead with his comedic genius, and the rest will always follow. With a fairly large stadium built in the centre of the city and a few smaller facilities around they are hoping to also pick up a few stars and make their team unbeatable. They will be another team in the mid-table battle, but I expect them to rake in the money. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Jamaica City: Kingston Chairman: Daemon Rising Manager: Daemon Stadium: The Rastadium (Cap: 50000) Prediction: 4th Squad Youth Best CA: Ricardo Fuller (28),(Sen),(ST) Best PA: Ricardo Gardner (29),(Sen),(WB/AML) Player to Watch: Richard Hope (15,MC): The future hope of the Jamaican Nation, can Richard make a show in this team and lead them into the future? Club Description: Jamaica is a nation of Bobsledders, or so Cool Runnings has made us believe, well following in that tradition the Kingston Red Stripes are going to take the world by storm. They may not come out on top, but they will be welcomed back with respect and as equals in four years time. Daemon and his backroom team will be hoping that the support of their many fans in their stadium will drive them forwards, and hopefully they can earn enough money to build better facilities in a years time. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Malta City: San Gwann Chairman: Denther Manager: Jean Parisot de la Valette Stadium: Fort St. Angelo (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 8th Squad Youth Marquee: Lucho Gonzalez (27,MC) Draftees: 1. Adam Pepper (16,ST) 2. Mykola Morozyuk (20,MRC) 3. Ivan Ivanov (20,DLC) Best CA: Michael Mifsud (27),(Sen),(ST) Best PA: Teddy Muscat (16),(Yth),(MC) Player to Watch: Simon Bajada (16,DC): The young man needs to overcome his poor ratings across the world if he is going to make something of himself. He looks like he has some good starting stats, he is very fit, and willing to work as part of a team. Can he come out and show that he is the best Central Defender in Malta? Club Description: Malta became independent in 1964, and a republic only ten short years later, but since then they have not been able to rack up a good team in football. Denther and his selection hope they can correct the path of the Maltese Falcon and soar their way into the record books. Hoping to take over the world from an island nation is a big dream, but the British managed it. San Gwann have been very thoughtful in their spending, a little into each area, but a very strong focus on the future has seen them invest in World Class Youth and Training facilities. How many years before they reach the top? I predict a Premiership by 2030 for this club. Chairmans Thoughts:
Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Singapore City: Serangoon Chairman: Ben Arsenal Manager: Mohamad Mustafa Stadium: Serangoon Stadium (Cap: 10000) Prediction: 3rd Squad Youth Marquee: Geromel (22,DC) Draftees: 1. Jádson Rodrigues da Silva (24,AMC) 2. Rustam Khudzhamov (25,GK) 3. Hassan Yebda (24,DM) Best CA: Alberto Singh (16),(Yth),(DL) Best PA: Mohd Azlan Yusof (15),(Yth),(GK) Player to Watch: Gautam Kumar (16,ST): The Kumars are at number 42, I wonder if he will demand that number on his back, the future striking hopes of Singapore are looking good in his hands. I hope that he can show the Premier Division his wares very soon. Club Description: The Slingers of Singapore are hoping that they can represent for the Asian contingent. Ben Arsenal has selected a strong team to surround himself, and has spent his money wisely. Not having expanded his stadium so that he could focus on his team and on the future could backfire, but knowing that his complete focus is on the task at hand rather than the trappings of a huge stadium show he knows what he wants, and that is victory. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Estonia City: Tallin Chairman: Uusinjsh Manager: Jaak Opper Stadium: A. Le Coq Arena (Cap: 10000) Prediction: 9th Squad Youth Marquee: Carlos Vela (19,AMLC/FC) Draftees: 1. Vincenzo Fiorillo (18,GK) 2. Martin Galvan (15,AMC) 3. Razan Ochirosii (19,AML) Best CA: Andres Oper (30),(Sen),(ST) Best PA: Maksam Roos (16),(Yth),(MC) Player to Watch: Alexandr Kudryashov (16,MR): The best looking player for the right hand side sees Alexandr as a serious possibility in Estonia's future. I would like to see him get a top team run later in the season, hopefully he can have a chance to come out on top. Club Description: The Estonians come into this is one of the favourites, up there with Tirana and Blue Star, they already have some top class players in their squads to start building around, but they will be hoping they can improve their stock and move up the world rankings quickly. The Ice Bears also have only a small stadium, but with a large number of supporters and a great back room expect them to expand that pretty early on. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Albania City: Tirana Chairman: Fergysafc Manager: Liam Ferguson Stadium: Tirana Park (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 1st Squad Youth Draftees: 1. Gabriel Torje (18,AMR) 2. Christian Gimenez (27,AMRL/FC) 3. Haris Medunjanin (23,AMC) Best CA/PA: Lorik Cana (24),(Sen),(DC/DM/MC) Best PA: Erjon Bogdani (31),(Sen),(ST) Player to Watch: Manuel Jidayi (16,GK): A great looking young keeper, Jidayi has to be one for the future. If Tirana use him correctly they should be able to stop any goals going into their net for years to come, it will be interesting to see if he steps into the limelight in 2008 or if it will be a few years before he comes in. Club Description: Albania are the highest ranked nation in this competition, ranked 101st in the world most punters are backing Tirana to take the title from the word go. Yet they obviously are not looking back to all the teams that are hot on their tails. With an even spread across the board in how they have spent their money, they haven't really focussed on one particular area, hopes for them are that this doesn't come back to hurt them later. Lower Leagues Rule
Division One Nation: Sao Tome & Principe City: Sao Tome Chairman: Lower Leagues Rule Manager: Joao de Santarium Stadium: Cubo de Acucar (Cap: 25000) Prediction: 12th Squad Youth Marquee: Rene Adler (23,GK) Draftees: 1. Franco Zuculini (17,DM/MR) 2. Omar Benzerga (18,DM) 3. Radja Nainggolan (20,DM/AMRLC) Best CA: Orlando (36),(Sen),(ST) Best PA: Antoine Tchana (16),(Yth),(ST) Player to Watch: Waldo (20,DM): Well everyone was asking "Where's Waldo?" Well i have found him in Sao Tome as possibly the worst player in the league. He is not going to win any awards, but I found him, look at the stripes and the glasses. Club Description: Basing themselves in the capital city of Sao Tome at Cubo de Açúcar, a 25,000 seat stadium near the edge of the city. The club is hoping to build on their nations poor current ranking, as the original nation that went to Des Tiny with their concerns about the current world situation they are hoping to move from the bottom of the world rankings with the help of this club. With a focus on Youth and the future they are looking to take their chances early on and aim for the top later on. Life may be tough starting at the bottom, but they will work their way up. Chairmans Thoughts: Well my thoughts on the squad are that we could be better, but we could definitely be a lot worse. I can see a good mid-table finish here for AD Escobar. The boys need to get in early and the midfield need to dominate and hopefully the ball is stopped at the back by Adler. Nation: Belize City: Belize City Chairman: AdzH Manager: Alfred Whitlemort Stadium: Logwood Bay (Cap: 25000) Prediction: 8th Squad Youth Marquee: Marek Hamsik (20,MC) Draftees: 1. Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior (16,AMC/ST) 2. Juan Forlin (20,DC) 3. Rual Nava (17,ST) Best CA: Shane Orio (27),(Sen),(GK) Best PA: Sam Leeson (16),(Yth),(DR) Player to Watch: Orlando Hoare (16,DC): Orlando looks to be a pretty good choice for the future at centre back, he has a bit of potential and a chance to improve well. He may not look like the most amazing player right now, but he has a few years to improve in the Belize Facilities before he needs to take control in the national side. Club Description: Belize City came in in the final days with a new proposal, which Des Tiny accepted immediately as he saw the potential for a side from Central America in his league system. Should be interesting to see if the team is able to keep up with the predicted mid-table position. I personally predict 11th spot for Belize City in 2008/09. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Turkmenistan City: Dasoguz Chairman: Biggy Manager: Moriz Egor Ivanov Stadium: Daşoguz Soccer Dome (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 3rd Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Arnold Kruiswijk (23,DC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The boys from Turkmenistan are rumoured to be hunting down the Baku Bats with some idea of revenge on their minds, first they will need to gain promotion to the Premier League. They have focussed on the youth side of things and hope that they can build to a future in the big time, not much point aiming for the top in season one. Slow and steady should win the race, as one of the highest ranked sides going into the 1st Division they will be hoping to gain promotion in season one. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Maldives City: Male Chairman: Brettney1980 Manager: Brettney Joven Stadium: Ibrahim Nasir Rannabandeyri Kilegefan Arena (Cap: 40000) Prediction: 9th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Josh Lambo (17,GK) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: Male Fandita are from beautiful holiday destination of the Maldives, with hundreds of islands making up their home, these players are more used to water than the football field. Hoping to use their high ranking in the 1st Division to gain a quick promotion Fandita will be a team to be reckoned with in season 1. They have spent more money on their facilities than any other team in the league system, this will either be a good thing or a bad thing, no one is one hundred percent sure which it will be. Expect them to finish near the top, if not as League Champions. Chairmans Thoughts:
Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Macau City: Macau Chairman: Edmund Ho Hau Wah Manager: Sam Hou Fai Stadium: Macau National Stadium (Cap: 100000) Prediction: 11th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Sergio Gontán Gallardo (16,AMRC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Nicaragua City: Masaya Chairman: Hamuel Manager: Augusto Sandino Stadium: El Chipote (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 5th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Eyong Enoh (21,MC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The Guerillas, no not the ones that hang out in the mountains of Rwanda, these ones are from Nicaragua and they have built an average set-up at the base of the mountains. They are hoping to use this base to build a top class side, and hopefully then they can make it into the top division. For season one I would be predicting Masaya to set themselves up in the mid-table and work their way up. Their battle with Escobar should be an interesting one. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: American Samoa City: Pago Pago Chairman: Togiola Tulafono Manager: Ipulas Sunia Stadium: Pago Pago University Field (Cap: 28000) Prediction: 7th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Alessandro Tuia (18,DC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Guam City: Agana Chairman: JSalter Manager: Tups Hilp Stadium: University of Guam Sports Field (Cap: 25000) Prediction: 6th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Fabian Delph (18,MC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: Well the cast of lost were trying to fly to here, but they never made it. Guam is famous as an American military base, but now they want to make their name on the football field. JSalter and his team have pulled out all the stops to try and get a squad of University Graduates onto the park and competitive in the short time they have been together. With good facilities, but nothing spectacular they hope that they can slowly move up the ranks, and maybe surprise some of the bigger boys. I would be expecting the Pumas to safely be above relegation, maybe in 13th spot in season one. Chairmans Thoughts:
Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Myanmar City: Rangoon Chairman: Jayatsena Manager: Be Jayatsena Stadium: Myanmar National Stadium (Cap: 15000) Prediction: 10th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: Rangoon FC were the Johnny-come-latelys of the 1st Division, based in the former British colony of Myanmar (then Burma), they are hoping to overcome their slow start and get themselves out in front in the football world. They are ranked quite highly compared to the clubs around them, but with a lack of any true stars they may fall back through the pack. They kept a large sum of money for future spending, but also spent a bit of money across the board, interestingly they don't have that big of a following yet in their homeland like the rest of the clubs. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: San Marino City: San Marino Chairman: Lomedae Manager: Pietro Serravalle Stadium: Stadio di Sammarinese (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 4th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Jakson Avelino Coelho (22,AMLC/ST) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: San Marino have always relied on clubs in the Italian leagues as their way to possibly get a true shot in Europe, as their own clubs have never received enough competition to make it through. Now with a club in the Outcast League they are looking to another path and the possibility of a strong presence. A strong focus on future talent has seen them splash out on the best Training and Youth Academys that money could buy. The young players of San Marino are said to be delighted with a chance to prove themselves in world class facilities. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Brunei City: Bandar Seri Begawan Chairman: Coldkohmew Manager: James Wood Stadium: Sultan Hassal Bolkiah Stadium (Cap: 10000) Prediction: 14th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Corry Evans (17,MC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The Sultan of Brunei is said to have thrown his huge sums of money behind this club, and it seems even though they spent large amounts of money they probably are bankrolled for another 20 years already. Other than having the Sultan supporting them they seem a little bit short on reputation across Brunei as a whole, maybe they need to get some players out there with flyers. They have built just a small 10,000 seat stadium, but they have perfect facilities for training of their youth. Coldkohmew probably looked at the state of the nations current players and decided they didn't need a new stadium, they needed new players. Look for Brunei to be fighting against Escobar to stay in the mid table. Chairmans Thoughts:
Lower Leagues Rule
Nation: Samoa City: Apia Chairman: D-Machine Manager: Tama Tipene Stadium: Sea Island Stadium (Cap: 30000) Prediction: 2nd Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Coutinho (16,AMC) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The Maoris, not to be confused with the team from Auckland, are based on the island of Samoa. With a club that looks promising in the future, D-Machine and Tama Tipene have come together with a great investment package to try and put the Pacific Islands on the map. With their big budget items being a Youth Academy, a Marketing campaign, and a huge new stadium they have put together a team Samoa can be proud of. Look for them to be putting in a surprise challenge. My Pick as the Dark horses in 2008/09. Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Faroe Islands City: Torshavn Chairman: NicKC13573 Manager: Nick Clements Stadium: Dagger Domain (Cap: 15000) Prediction: 1st Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Mickaël Serge Pagis (34,ST) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The Daggers are going to look to sharpen their skills in the 1st Division for a season or two before they make the move into the league with all the big boys. Torshavn have spent their dollars wisely, they have a huge worldwide reputation already a month after their creation, they have perfect facilities, and huge fan support, but all this could count for nothing by the time they step onto the park. They have done all the work behind the scenes, but will Nick and Nick see the realisation of their dreams? Chairmans Thoughts: Nation: Nepal City: Kathmandu Chairman: Blanco Manager: Tenzing Norgay Stadium: Himalayan Dome (Cap: 20000) Prediction: 13th Squad Youth Marquee: Draftees: 1. Kim Heung-Keun (18,AMRL) 2. 3. Best CA: <profile> (00),(Sen),(POS) Best PA: <profile> (00),(Yth),(POS) Player to Watch: <profile> (POS): {Here go a few words} Club Description: The boys from the Valley are used to being on top of the world geographically, but now they want to continue this in the world of Football. Can the altitude of Nepal put off players from other teams when they head there to play? Will the thin air be too much for teams to overcome? The team from Nepal will have conditions on their side, but can they overcome the state of some of their players. Blanco has focussed on the future and has lined up some stunning facilities, now hopefully he can find the Nepalese stars and bring them to his club. It may just give him a chance to control the world from the heights of the Himalayas. Chairmans Thoughts:
hursty2
Very Good, I'm getting all excited:D Hopefully I'll get the players that I wanted and won't be mid-table this year but will be up their with the big boys
Lower Leagues Rule
Glad you like it Hursty, I was hoping the effort I put into the opening posts would be appreciated, and I will be writing up the draft in full tomorrow night I hope. And then we will follow that with the auction and then I will be able to complete the database and the full club profiles above.
hursty2
Another thing you could do is get us chairman to write a short report on the players we get, financial state expected at the end of the year, how we expect the youth to progress and why we chose those particular marquee signings about the marquee signings etc. Good idea? I actually like that idea, that'll give the Chairman something to do while I run the first part of the season and prepare an update once I have the game going. I can add them to the opening posts as "Chairmans Thoughts"

Hmm might be able to catch it in time before I leave to the Gold Coast to see them play Fulham I hope I get my players. Well I am going write up the draft a couple of picks at a time, and planning to start writing it up and posting it in a live sort of format as I make the picks in my Excel spreadsheet where I have it all laid out. I am also off work sick for the week, so it gives me a chance to complete all the set-up before I go away Friday morning.

Lower Leagues Rule
I explained in the other thread, but basically their 22man squad will be made up of 2 in each position chosen randomly from the available players. Then the Uncapped and Marquee Players will be selected by me on a random basis after everyone else's have been picked.

Lower Leagues Rule
Thanks for the support everyone. I was pretty pleased with how things turned out in the updates. I only currently have one problem with the database relating to the Euro Cup, but I am working on how to fix that at the moment. Seems to not want to schedule itself for the group stage in the second season. And then it never starts up again after that...

Lower Leagues Rule
Thanks JSalter and Joetheref, I may have found a solution to the Euro Cup issue, and it seems I had to remove a nation from Europe, so I have just taken out the lowest rep nation that we are not using. And it appears to have worked, going to keep this game holidaying overnight to make sure it works.
