BigAmzz
ok well in my first season with sunderland dwight yorke is player/assistant manager (i dont remember this being the case in real life), anyway his contract was about to expire in the summer and under interest it said "arsenal" (goalkeeping coach), what on earth qualifies dwight yorke to be goalkeeping coach? bug maybe? anyone had any simular situations? AbsoluteGenius
Maybe he started his career as a goalkeeper.
craigcwwe
no he has always been a striker as far as i know. it is a bug mate.
Jack Rudd
I don't know about that. Working with a good striker could help a goalkeeper tremendously; you can't test your shot-stopping properly unless you've got someone with you who can take good shots. backpackant
I think a lot of it is fairly random in terms of management. Les Ferdinand is at Tottenham in my 2017 save and his strongest attribute by far is defending.
heathxxx
It's often surprised me to see players become coaches in areas completely conrary to their chosen areas during their playing careers. I tend to see many strikers become GK coaches too. Maybe it's something worth mentioning in the "Wishlist" for future versions of the game.
given1legend
Jack Rudd's idea seems fairly logical. Strikers become defensive minded coaches so they can teach defenders the mind of an attacker or practice a keepers shot stopping or one on ones. Scott1990
He's a goalkeeping coach for Fulham in my game. Not a very good one either, his coaching goalkeepers attribute is 3.
