Oh, well.

EvilDave should do well. Beijing Guoan are like the Man Utd of the Chinese League. Lots of past success, huge massive fanbase, still challenging most years despite the presence of nouveau riche clubs like Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG (i.e. Chelsea and Man City of the league).

Chongqing (my team here) are more like a Newcastle I reckon. League ever presents but never had any real success, mostly just mid-table or lower finishes.

Good luck to all the rest though.

How about Qingdao Huanghai?  Any little tid bits to offer me please?

Well, they're a small-ish but rising club, relative newcomers (founded in 2013). Hard to equate their rise to anyone but probably something like a Bournemouth?

After knocking on the door the past few seasons, IRL they won the second division this year and reached the top flight for the first time. They also have Yaya Toure playing for them, so not a team to be taken lightly. They have quality.

put Shaanxi into google and I get the worst earthquake in recorded history, might be slightly foreboding!

Other positives, we have a rather pissed off looking wolf on our badge!

Negatives, we only got promoted to division 1 due to financial problems with a team that went up instead of us!!

Yeah, Chinese football is usually quite a shambles like that.

I dunno much about your team TBH, other than one of the players in the team used to appear on TV football talk shows a lot (from my time in China at least) and was quite the character.

yeah yeah... proverbial salt in the wound!  PFF!!!  Anyway, this whole thing smells like yesterday's fish!  Everybody @mark wilson27don't like got given teams with stupid expectations ( @salkster2102).  In the same breath, he'll create a sacrificial lamb just to try and "make it look fair" ( @EvilDave).  And of course, his bias against newbies is well known so, I got thrown under the bus first! :D

Where's that shaking fist emoticon when you need it...

Doing fine otherwise, though! I expect the team will be happy with a top half finish and maybe a late push for promotion. We'll see how it goes.
