steff91
Hello. After looking through some diffrent leagues that i dont usually play,i came across the Icelandic league which only runs for four months between May and September each season. Now my question here is,has anyone ever managed in Iceland before and how and what on earth are you supposed to do after the season has finished considering you have eight months until the start of the new season.Seems a bit odd to me personally. Cheers lads.
Cougar2010
Pre-season friendlies start late Jan - Mid Feb. League Cup runs from Mid Feb - End April (Group stage then knockout). League runs Mid May - End Sep along with Cup games mixed in. Off-Season is Oct - Mid Jan.
steff91
still seems a lot of no game time to me guess its just a case of umpteen friendlies then?
Lord Rowell
Or double-up with an international management job? Actually that has some appeal to me

forameuss
Or just holiday and enjoy the fact that you don't have to play a million games each season.
DazRTaylor
Absolutely love managing in the Icelandic League. Love a one club challenge there. As you eventually progress in Europe, October & November will be filled with European fixtures, so only December and January will be free of matches. AdamRedwoodAVFC
It's a great league to manage in, there is a lot of breaks but friendlies are your saviour. If available arrange cup friendlies to gain some much needed income. Good luck Steff91
Crispypaul
It's a good league to manage in given there aren't that many games in a season, however it can get a bit tiresome once you are the dominant team in Iceland as you're basically winning every game. Europe livens it up somewhat.
