Kojak123
I have some questions regarding the news item that a transfer story has been leaked. 1. Has anybody ever had the message that the leak was known? 2. Is there a way to find out who actually leaked the story? 3. Has anybody ever found out who leaked the story?:confused::confused:

Ackter
No, there's no way to find out who did it. You can actually leak your own stories in this version
Kojak123
I'd find it great if I could find out (pay a private detective or something like that ) and then fire him without a compensation.
Gandy
I'd find it great if I could find out (pay a private detective or something like that ) and then fire him without a compensation. Spurs would recommend against that
Guest
no and personally it makes no difference at all in any transfer I have ever completed , don't see the point in it unless other clubs come in for the player which I have never seen happen
Tofters
Does it suggest the backroom staff don't like you? I.e If your at a club X amount of years, staff followed you to the job etc then you'd be less likely to have a story leaked? As if you went to a new team, maybe higher rep, new staff to you so less respect /more likely to leak
Ackter
No, it's going to be the player's agent that's leaking the story.

DANNY1000000
Can you only make an offer for a player public if its one of your own? What is the benefit of making an offer for your player public? How would the agent know if a bid was made to the club?

D0bi
Can you only make an offer for a player public if its one of your own? What is the benefit of making an offer for your player public? How would the agent know if a bid was made to the club? It encourages other interested parties to also make a bid, with the intention of causing a bidding war/driving the price up. An agent would know as I imagine the club would be obligated to tell a player if he had had a bid accepted for himself, and that player would then tell his agent, naturally.
